  1. He's full of bull. The NCAA has taken action many times in the past after learning of violations. They can't cop out with this UNC case by saying they have no control over college classes and grades! If this had happened at Middle Tennessee or Portland they would have come to a decision long ago and taken away wins, scholarships, etc. But it's North Carolina, a blueblood, so they have to search for excuses and loopholes. The NCAA told Memphis to go ahead and play Rose and later discovered that Rose had cheated on his ACT that he took in Chicago. So, after the fact of giving Memphis the greenlight to play him they later hit Memphis with the news that they had stripped the university of their Final Four as well as their wins for that season. What would keep the same NCAA of holding UNC accountable for academic fraud and stripping them of their wins and banners. Just like in the Rose case the knowledge of what happened wasn't known until the news broke. Double standard all the way!
  2. Has Cooper got all their players back? I know when they played CovCath a few weeks ago they had two players injured.

  7. I remember the telephone party lines. There were usually 4 or 5 houses on a line. My aunt would eavesdrop on her neighbors. She would put her hand over the part you talk into so they couldn't hear her breathe. If you walked into the room while she was doing that she would throw a hissy fit, making all kinds of gyrations with her arms and hands, like a mime doing an acting routine. She would have this look on her face like, "If you kids make a sound I'm going to skin you alive!"
  8. Yep. The additions of the two 6'8 kids has freed Tobler up to do more things in a different role.
  9. I'm from the 14th region and not as familiar with the 13th as you but from just following the season as it progresses on BGP and the news that would be my picks as well. Perry Central is a clear choice for one of the championship game spots in my region, with the other spot from Knott Central, Letcher Central, and Cordia, in that order.
  10. SF, if you had to name two teams that will make it to the championship game of this region who would they be?
  11. That's what I thought. I know I have a friend in Louisville that lives almost walking distance from Fern Creek but he sent his son to Male because of academic and baseball reasons.
  12. Speaking of defense, it baffles me that Fox is the fastest and quickest player on the floor in about every game and still can't contain the guy he's guarding from driving or scoring.
  13. I'm confused about the rule. So it would have been okay if Senator Warren had bad mouthed Sessions with her own words but she is not permitted to read the words of another person, in this case King???
  14. This type game puts a little perspective in the strengths of different regions. South is one of the top 3 teams in the 13th. I suppose Dunbar is one of the top teams in the 11th as well, but this illustrates how much stronger some regions are. Several regions are almost like a state tournament just to survive and make it to Rupp. Dunbar would more than likely have few problems winning any of the mountain regions but will be fortunate to get past the semis in their own region.
  15. It's certainly the worst one that Cal's had since he's been at UK. Matador Defense!
  16. I agree. If they lose a couple more SEC games, which I think they will, they're going to probably be a 5 seed. That's a bad matchup with a good mid-major first game and second game won't get any easier. With their poor defense I doubt they get get past the second round.
  17. I knew when Nelson decided to not return for his senior season that was a big loss for Cordia. He probably was their best player last year.
  18. The way they've been playing lately those SEC road games coming up look much more daunting than they did a month ago. Wouldn't surprise me the least to see a couple more losses.
  19. The defense is problematic if they don't start improving. The post season tournaments are just a few weeks from now. LSU shouldn't score 85 against UK, especially in Rupp.
