Actually, Mason lead by 15 plus for most of the game and pounded them inside.

Mason gave them about 8 points in the last minute. Game was not near that close. Next time we play, is Bracken going to have an answer for Schalch. NO!! Blake Reed is good but now way he does what he does he he did not play for his Dad. He gets to do what he wants by getting thirty shots a game.

Last week I talked about how bad the girls shot Free Throws in the Lady Royal Classic. They were in the mid 40 percentage. This week during nine games the boys shot 217-321 for 67.6%. Much higher than the girls. What does this tell you if anything?

I believe it is Chili and the fixings only tomorrow. No spaghetti. Good basketball all day and come and eat and help the softball team.

All teams combined to shoot 128 for 273 on Free Throws in this showcase. I am going on the record to say that is terrible. Kids can not shoot Free Throws any more. The three point line is partial blame for this I believe.

This weekend is the sixth annual Mike Murphy Classic at Mason County. Mike was a true friend and I always miss him especially during the Basketball season. Not tonight they was not. Mason controlled the game for three quarters and lost it in the fourth due to turnovers. Mason tied it on a Schalch basket and Bourbon had a shot at the buzzer but come up short. Dominated us in overtime.

Mason had a ten point lead starting fourth quarter. Bourbon turns up the heat and Mason turned it over. Neither team shot well but they shot lay-ups in the fourth quarter. Mason played without May or Brammer.

They shot 11-14 from the line as Mason just kept fouling.

Mason got down by 17 in the third and battled back. Mason down 3 with 4.6 seconds to go and Butler gets a steal and threw it back in under the basket and Frey laid it in. Just not enough time to get it to a three point shooter. Schalch led the Royals with 32 points.

Fleming has had our number for the last few years. Mason is playing better but Fleming is really good. It will be tough in the Panther Den.
