Aaron Rayburn is stepping down from his position as head coach of the Lady Comets, per Aaron Snyder.

 

West Carter returns one of the top players in the region from a 25 win team last year. The next coach should be able to win big right away. This is a top 3 or 4 team in the 16th next season.

Per Aaron Snyder (Daily Independent) on Twitter: "Aaron Rayburn has resigned as West Carter’s girls basketball coach and as a biology teacher. He is now the campus pastor at Better Life Church in Grayson."

Who are some of the possible candidates for the Job? Hager Easterling? Mandy Layne?. I hope Mandy decides to stay at Russell but wouldn't be surprised If she applied at her alma mater.

Was the one year her senior year? I know she was on the 2000 championship team if I'm not mistaking. If it was her senior year and she graduated from West Carter I could see calling it her alma mater.
