I seen it coming. I just thought that it would be sooner. And all this is coming to KCC. You have 3-4 kids from JBS and then all those now on KCC's team now, and the egos start. It may burst Knott's basketball program. I would hope not.

Are you sure about the baseball coaching position? My source says that he will be the head basketball coach. Also, Amburgey is doing a great job. But like I have posted and posted in the past, KCC changes coaches every 2 years. You can't build a program like that. It's stupid. Really stupid.

That's one of the questions that has to be answered for these boys. If JBS is closing, I assume that there should not be any eligibility issues.

Yes. All the JBS students mentioned have visited. It is unclear if they have transferred. They did visit and should decide before to long. KCC's basketball coach status is, also, unclear. The only thing that I had heard was about an assistant with the initials of T.C. Nothing definite. I do know that Amburgey will not, at this time, be Knott Central's coach next season. This comes from a highly respectable source. And you all know I don't give up my sources. :sssh:

I'm hoping that this will help out the baseball program, too. Tate and Brent have played baseball. And a couple more that I am hearing that are making the move to Knott Central in August have played as well.

I'm getting this in bits and pieces, so bear with me. Right now these are the kids that I know for sure that have transfered, Brent Hall and Nason Roberts. Roberts is a freshman, I believe. Still trying to find out if Tate has transfered.

I want to add that from a very reliable source, Knott is changing basketball coaches. I will find out who and when and post it. It's all that 2 years and your done thing. It kind of gets old after a while. I thought that Amburgey was doing a good job. I guess that someone's dad wasn't happy. :sleep:

There is more to the story. OK, Cox is at Knott Central. One kid before him has already transferred and two more are to follow. The reason is that JBS will be closing the K-8 school at the end of the school year. And the high school will follow soon, not sure when. So, it's looking like KCC may have a good basketball program next season.

Very true. Boys on travel teams will get seen more than the HS player. Just the way it is. Unless that HS player is a LHP and can throw 90+, it is highly unlikely they'll be seen (by most DI programs and pros).

There may be a surprise or two coming out of the 14th. I feel that there is a few teams that haven't been in contention the past couple of years, that are going to surprise everyone. Just a feeling I get. Jenkins surprised, just about, everyone except Jenkins and their fans. Lee County may be one of these teams. I just don't think that Powell will be that strong. I look for Jackson City to be better than last season. Hazard lost just like Letcher and Perry Central. The 54th is up for grabs. In the 53rd, Letcher lost a lot of players, just as did Knott Central. Jenkins still has the core that they did last season. JBS added a pitcher that will help them out. I still see Letcher being strong, just not strong enough to keep up in the 14th.

Clark is a great kid. The elder Stepps doesn't have a clue what they should do and are hurting Clark in ther long run. I was listening to a sports radio talk show out of Hazard last week. A guy calls in and says that Clark recieved 10 tickets from Florida. Add another rumor to the stack. Clark wanted to go to Austin Peay. That I do know. They did send a scout to watch one of his games. He had one of the worst games that night. Probably nervous. After the game they did meet with Clark and his parents and AP said that they didn't have any scholarships to offer. Maybe walk on and see what happens. Clark will end up at Alice Lloyd or Georgetown. I wish him all the luck in the world. His uncles sure aren't doing him any favors.

It was a very bad call.

Ever hear of this happening? At the Urban Legends Tournament, USC and, I think, it was Beth-Cook. USC has man on 2nd with two outs. Batter hits line drive right at center fielder but rather short. Center fielder sprints in, dives forward, appears to catch the ball, but it comes loose when he hits the ground. Batter gets single (credited with hit) and runner from 2nd scores. Next batter comes up and gets a pitch thrown to him. THEN, the third base umpire decides that the center fielder really did catch the ball and overrules the play two pitches before. I know this can't be right.

Knott should be on the fiels today. And with some more boys coming out, since basketball is done.

If I'm not mistaken, the field should be ready by the first game.

Jeff did leave on his own terms. He wasn't wanted by the admin at Knott. The players were a different story. The players knew that they had a great coach and that he could have made them a better team. He just couldn't do what he wanted or needed to make the team better.

Honeycutt wasn't let go. But, it would have happened anyway. Jeff wanted full control of the team. And he wasn't going to get it. So, he went back to Cordia where he could have full control and look what Jeff has built. Congrats to Cordia. Knott, congrats on a great season. :thumb:

Final. Knott Shot only 32 % from the field. Mosley led the Lions with 14 and Caudill led the Pats with 18pts. Very surprising score.

Not saying that GCHS wouldn't. I am speaking about other schools. A lot of admin will not let this happen. If they let fans in free to baseball games, fans may expect it at all sporting events for the school's teams.:thumb:

I'm all for it. Some schools just won't let it happen.
