It was a little wet during the game. PCC isn't a good wet weather team. And Puckett pitched for Jenkins.

It seemed like a football game. The runs went back and forth before the game was called.

I would say that he isn't. Too short of a time between basketball and baseball and the time that he transferred.

Micheal Slone pitched for Knott and Josh Rodebaugh hit a 2 run home run in the 1st. Cody Smith drove in one run for Knott. Knott isn't looking good right know. These boys are trying hard and I am very sure that they will come around.

That's kind of what I meant. The thing about it is, is that some are or were telling him that he is DI and, eventually, NBA material. Which is totally untrue. But, I agree with you that he'll be playing somewhere. Probably a NAIA school or lower DIII team.

Tate isn't playing baseball. He is focusing on basketball, which IMO, is a mistake. Unless he grows over the next couple of years, basketball won't be in his future.

The game was postponed in the bottom of the 5th due to field conditions. Cody Smith pitched the 1st 3 innings for Knott, didn't get BL's pitcher's name. I'll post it tomorrow.

My prayers and thoughts are with Michael, his family, and team mates. Get well soon Michael.

You have to remember that it takes the head coaches to get the info out to us when asked. If they don't, there is nothing to go on. Please encourage your team's HC to give info if they are emailed. Personally, I sent out e-mails to all the coaches in the 14th. I received 7 back. The rest I had to go from memory or didn't include.

I was informed that Knott Central's record should be 12-22 from last season. Sorry Coach.

Perry Central may be better than expected.

Puckett is a very good pitcher. Jenkins will be good this season.

Tate is eligible for next season. The reason can't be told unless it is put in print in a newspaper or told on the news.

Nope. I am a Knott Central oy.. er, old man. I graduated in the 80's. I hear that Estill is supposed to be good as well. I hope KCC can win some games and compete in the region. Thanks, and good luck to Estill as well.

It'll have to wait one more day. Knott Central and Estill game was canceled due to the weather.

Clark was at Georgetown just before the NAIA tournament started. Coach Happy Osborne said this on a radio show 2-3 days before they left to play in the tournament. He was positive that Clark would be there next season. One thing that he doesn't know is that when the Stepps are involved, nothing is concrete. And it is getting tiresome to hear all these remarks that he's going to UK to play. He may go to UK, but he won't play ball there. He's NAIA or less caliber. I even read in the local paper this past week that Clark would be at Alice Lloyd. The Stepps have taken over the program at ALC. So, take everything with a grain of salt.

We do the baseball previews for the fans of HS baseball, coaches, and most importantly, the players. Some of these boys don't play every sport. They are as passionate about baseball as us fans. I really hope that these previews can be helpful to all. For me, I love to hear about the baseball players and learn about teams that don't get exposure. All you posters go to the coach of your favorite team and tell them that you read about them in the BGP baseball preview.

Knott Central scrimmaged Sheldon Clark last night and both teams looked good. SC won 11-6. Knott really looked good for a young team that hasn't played together too much before last night. The three pitchers that I seen, 2 freshman and a sophomore, made some great pitches. Knott is young and have the season to gel.

We are working on the Baseball previews amnd they should be ready soon. With this crazy weather we have been getting, a lot of teams haven't been able to get on the field much.

I really think that Jackson City is better than Wolfe. You never know about Riverside.

I have watched them play and JC has some good young players. Just a gut feeling.

Knott Central and Sheldon Clark has been canceled. They will play Tueday evening @ KCC.
