AP announced today they found two guys who were camping and were missing/presumed dead, lowering the death toll. They apparently caught a ride out of the area and simply abandoned their gear and vehicle.

This diesel engine runs hot. I try to stay outside as much as possible during the summer to stay acclimated to the heat, but even that doesn't help on those really humid days. If it's humid, I sweat. It could be 20 degrees outside, but if the humidity is high and I'm moving around, I sweat.

They announced it was cancelled just hours after the flood. Days ago.

The hope being that they will spend that off time getting in the best physical condition of their lives, adding on several pounds of muscle.

The Tigers have been to back-to-back region tournaments after a long drought, with Amber Courtney being the common denominator. She lost D-1 player Alexis Brewer, but still guided her squad to 18 wins in her second year at the helm. The Tigers lose several seniors, including three longtime starters, but if they can get steady guard play (there is some experience returning there), that should help C Destanie Love enjoy a breakout junior year. She's got a lot of raw ability and really blossomed down the stretch.

The Banshees lost their top scorer from last year, but only two seniors graduated. They have no size, but a good deal of athleticism in the form of several girls who also played on the state SF soccer team. Putting the ball in the basket figures to be their biggest challenge, but if they can turn defense into offense it will go a long way.

I eat out far more than I should, but it's unavoidable because of my schedule.

So it's their fault the kids found the independent school a better fit for their needs? Maybe the county school should do a better job of retention, making their school a place kids should want to play for.

Good luck. There's going to always be exceptions, starting with administrators, teachers, coaches and workers at the independent school who will send their kids where they work. That's just one.
