  1. I think it would be in their best interest to keep him IF they intend to expand the payroll...
  2. Okay! :thumb: Glad were on the same wavelength!
  3. I don't have a problem with it. Personally, I read a lot of them. How do you think I knew they were from the Dayton Daily News? It just didn't look like the commentor was going to elaborate so I took the liberty to.
  4. E-5 is in a bad slump right now... Everyone was hitting tonight from inning 5 on but he couldn't join the party. He was pounding a bat into the ground after his last at bat... They need to get him going. He and Phillips are important to that young core because of their ability to drive in runs from the right side of the plate...
  5. I didn't make the comment, but I will take a shot at it... He is probably referring to how you start a thread for every NFL transactions and/or sports article in the Dayton Daily News that usually end up with less than 20 posts. I'm not saying it is wrong, but you start a lot of threads for someone to criticize someone for starting one of their own.
  6. I thought it was funny on FSN when he hit his double to make him 3 for 3 and drove in his 2nd run Cowboy said "Well George, I think, he's ready..."
  7. Oops... Well thats not good then. I still wouldn't have thrown out your young guy. I don't think the way Dusty handled the starters was wrong, I think they way he handled the relievers was wrong...
  8. Who takes a back seat to Hicks in what department? And that block Max had on KG was nasty...
  9. Yup.... I may be wrong, but I don't often think it was in question that year. Even when they weren't #1 in the country, the widespread thought was that Cincinnati was a step ahead of everyone else that year. Max was great... I always looked at is as like the torch being passed from year to year as the guy that defined UC was the undersized blue collar post player that usually focused on rebounding and shot blocking, and the scoring would develop over their careers. Oh they usually had biceps as big as your head too...
  10. Patterson really produced yesterday with that 0 for 9 clip...
  11. What should have happened IMO, is that they should have just brought in Bray from the start in the 11th. I understand that you are "saving" your lefty, but at that point, your long reliever is more valuable than your lefty. Bray is more suited for the late inning role anyways. Then you still have the option of using your long man for more than 2/3rds of an inning...
  12. I think this one fits... For awhile I've heard it said about people that um, seem to lack in the intelligence area that "When God was giving out brains they thought he said trains and they said 'give me a slow one'" I've heard that one since I can remember... I have heard one similar to one of HHSDad's but it was always "Now were cookin' in grease!"
  13. Just on balls over the fence... No way to do it on playable balls down the line...
  14. I understand what most people are saying... There is no reason for Disney to do this... But at the same time, I have heard the Aladin thing with my own ears... So I don't know...
  15. Pretty dramatic comeback actually...
  16. I think if they were to replace anyone they would start by adding KG. While I like Roy's game, I think that it is too similar to that of many of the guys already on the roster. I like the Korver idea, but if you are going to start talking Derrick Rose, you know you have to start talking Beasley, who wouldn't be a bad addition with his ability to play outside or in at 6'10''...
  17. I am not trying to knock Bellevue, but just looking at their schedule, 9 of their wins came against teams that weren't fulltime fastpitch. Not that 7 wins in the first year isn't an accomplishment, because it is, but that 16 is inflated...
  18. I may be wrong, but just from a glance it looks to me like the best pure shooter on that roster is Michael Redd...
  19. :thumb: Now, Castro on the other hand, after tonight, I thought he was the worst guy by far...
  20. Could Dayton's former coach fit there??? I understand she will not be back at Dayton, is a St. Henry Alum, and lead Dayton to 12 or 13 wins and a regional berth last year
