All A 10th Region final scheduled for tomorrow night between host Nicholas County and Bishop Brossart have been cancelled ... the game will now be played Wednesday night, January 17th at 6pm

Not going to beat a lot of teams when you shoot 9 of 49 from the field and 11 of 22 from the free throw line ... give credit to Brossart, and freshman Marie Kiefer because she owned the paint!

Top 10, heck they're a legit top 5 team and maybe even higher than that! This team is extremely scary!!! They should win the region easy .. with only one team really having a chance to challenge them ... that team being GRC, who Campbell blew away earlier this season!

Johnson from Paris also had 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists! Coach pulled him and the rest of the starters with about 2 minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Yes, Johnson and Ashford made an impact over the past two years, but so did those other seniors ... this year, Johnson and Ashford are asked to do more because they don't have the some nucleus around them as they have had the previous years. Paris went from going 10 deep on their bench the past two years, two one or two deep this season! You can't be a fan of Paris ... I remember you talking down about the Greyhound football team. I'm done with this subject!:thumb:

I'm with Pky89 ... it will depend on what Paris team shows up. Even without Ashford, over the last two and a half quarters, the Hounds still had a chance against George Rogers Clark. If Ashford can't go, I still believe Jamaun Clark will hold his own and it helps that Maggard's back. For Paris to win, however, Johnson needs to have a huge game and I honestly believe he will!

Obviously, you don't know Paris that well because if you did, you wouldn't have made this comment. Paris lost three starters (Jekobi Wells, Dontez Myers and Jordan Davis) off last season's team and then the top three players off the bench (Ryan Davis, Tayjin Cunningham and Jacquez Dumphord) were seniors. Strings took only 33 shots last year while averaging barely a point a game. The year before that, the Hounds lost three starters in Koebe Garrard, James Clark and Jawan Dumphord and another senior that played some quality minutes in Demond Dorsey. Heck, Jamaun Clark, Maggard and Byars, weren't even on the varsity roster last season and although they were on the varsity, Adams (17 shot attempts) and Strings were not a factor in Paris' 26-8 season. Johnson and Ashford came on the scene last year and Strings is doing the same this year! Okay, so you are correct. All 12 seniors did not make an impact but 10 of them did. For a small class A school to lose 10 seniors over a two year span and still be competitive against bigger schools and a very experienced GRC team, I have to say hats off to Coach Terence Brooks and his team, because by season end, I wouldn't overlook the Hounds by no means!

My take on this game is simple ... had Ashford stayed in the game, Clark wouldn't have won the game! Just my take ... In addition, it's still hard to believe that Paris, after losing seven seniors from last season's squad and five the previous year before that is still challenging a season GRC team! Losing 12 seniors :eek: over two years is tough for any team but certainly a class A school. Over the past two years, only Eric Johnson and Ashford, played significant minutes for Paris. Nicholas County does a great job hosting this event, as well as the other All A teams in the region. It's been a great atmosphere over the years! Hats off to Nicholas County, Bracken County, Robertson County, Brossart and Paris, for always making this small time tournament a big time event!

Just got the word that this game has been moved to Wednesday night because of a heat issue at Paris High School. The game will now be part of a boy/girl double header with a boys freshman game being played at 5:00. The girls game will start at 6:30 and the boys game will follow!
