  1. Nice justification and can agree with you on your points as well. You will never get some on here to come close to saying well I can live with that explanation.
  2. I thought this thread was about 10th region player and coach of the year, not Cats Pause. Brad Carr would get my nod for coach of the year. He doesn't get the notice in my opinion because he is in Northern Kentucky. Corey Rogers is a solid player and several others could have gotten this award but the two I would have decided from would be Stenzel or Setty because they are more important to their teams. If you don't have Stenzel, Rogers doesn't get the ball and Stenzel is the glue to GRC in my opinion. Setty and his numbers speak for themselves and I have felt he has improved his all around game so much this season.
  3. I am not certain that there is a figure in a school system that has meant more than Rob has to the Augusta school system and community. Kids come and go every year, but its the ones that come back and hang out with you after leaving that let you know what kind of impact that an individual has had on that kids life. This is what happens in Augusta and with Robin Kelsch. This guy has always managed to get things done and done it the right way as a head coach. I have seen him bring out everything there is in a player and hug a kid when they have deserved it and yes chew on you when you deserve it. It has always been about the kids first while under the leadership of Rob, and through many conversations with this man over the years when a win has come, the players did it and he took absolutely zero credit and when the losses came, then Rob stepped up and said this one is on me. The mark of an outstanding leader, a man with a great basketball mind, and a man that had ownership and leadership in the buffet line as well. Truly a remarkable person, a blessing to Augusta schools and their student/athletes over the years, and a man that will be missed by everyone in the region. Rob, thank you for your time of service to the youth over the years, enjoy yourself and your next challenge, and don't be a stranger to the basketball circle in this 10th region.
  4. Bo Queen:lol:, Terry Smith:thumb:, Joe Billman:ohbrother:
  5. bigblueinsanity, you have a right to whatever opinion you want to state and it doesn't matter what reasoning there is behind it.
  6. Bourbon County only beat Paris by 10 points and St. Patrick is playing a little better basketball. The last game that Paris beat St. Patrick, the Saints were without their leading scorer Ryan Gallenstein. In my opinion Bourbon County needs to learn another defense other than a 1-3-1 zone.
  7. Mason County doesn't have the no school, no play rule.
  8. Murph, my family will miss you dearly. Prayers go out to your wife and all your family. May God comfort all of you and the Maysville-Mason County community as well. Huge loss in this area and this man was all about the kids of all ages. Thanks for the many conversations, great sports minded man and a man that loved his family dearly. R.I.P. Murph......
  9. Jonathon Fraysure is Mr. Prediction!
  10. A pretty bad comeback to say the least.
  11. You have done your fair share of complaining I think. Mason didn't even press last night until the final 3 minutes in which they turned GRC over 3 times. Like I said earlier in a post there was nothing shown last night by Mason. Bopper has some upside and plays hard.
  12. Move on with this subject as its a year in the past and you can't get back the past. Your student section got called out for acting immature and yet you can't respond to that but you can call out Mason County students and their conduct? There are those that are less than angels everywhere including GRC. Again your school representatives need to bring the discussion of student sections up at the region drawings for a discussion and vote. This has never happened so obviously it is of less than importance.
  13. ^Oh gold sunrise I do believe we have justification that there are student sections that are just as bad as your complaints on Mason County. By the way summoroyal, I had a good view of Zollo and the towel incident and I thought it went hand and hand with his play on the court last night, pretty bad.
  14. Popcorn was as predicted, out of this world. Give Ohearn GRC's team and you hang a state banner. I scratch my head at the many mismatches that were on the floor that Humphry failed to exploit. Zollo might have some upside until he faces Mason County but he was a no show again in Maysville, wasn't even on the radar. Rogers is a beast but when Mason gets all healthy, he won't have a first half against the Royals again like he did tonight. Daniels if placed on the block posting the smaller guards of Mason tonight would have had a field day, still scratching my head on that one. Mason showed absolutely nothing tonight and lost a player early and had one sick playing and Pawsat waiting and hung tough. GRC has no depth again. This pour ole soul thinks that if GRC plays a team that can go 7 or 8 deep the Cards are in trouble.
  15. I predict that the popcorn will be out of this world good. I also predict that there will be good chilli at the game. I will also predict that GRC will win this game. Another prediction is that gold sunrise will not give in game updates.
  16. gold sunrise could you shed some light on why the Clark/Scott game was cancelled? This has been asked a couple of times in the thread with no response. I figured since you got the scoop that Clark and Ballard will be played to fill the game cancelled, that you might have insight as to why the 10th region match up was not going to be played.
  17. This very well might be the craziest comment ever to say no return in sight. Those boys over there in Mason County might have a couple years where they are not at Rupp but they have too many kids over there not to return.
  18. At the Sweet 16, they believe that Tradition Never Graduates:popcorn:
  19. What is the latest on Zollo? High ankle sprain or what is the exact extent of his injury?
  20. I agree with X and O's, if you have a complaint call your administration at your school. They are the only ones that can bring these questions and concerns to meetings and drawings. I am not quite sure they value the opinions of posters on these threads and their opinions. Otherwise, enjoy the popcorn, and the atmosphere of the 10th Region tournament at the Fieldhouse. I also read in another posters comments about Masons fans behind the home teams bench, which Clark County didn't have to choose that bench. In my opinion, that was just another mistake Humphry made on that night.
  21. I said it before and will again, I believe you and Ms. Sunrise should take over the tall task of hosting. You have your ideas in place.
  22. Lets move it to Augusta, have everyone park in downtown Maysville and ride the boat down the river to Augusta. There is a couple of nice dining places once off of the boat in Augusta, it would be like parking at Hooters and riding over to the Reds game. I would be there to greet each person getting off the boat with those famous words, take your time, watch your step and please hold on to your ticket to ride back, lol. Ah this thread is nuts, the Fieldhouse is just fine, and I agree with another poster, the schools that complain the most is GRC and Montgomery and they are likely gone in a few years any how. Everyone else just be patient and enjoy the popcorn smell and those out of region officials. Now back to the last half hour of the Prices Right. Good day to all!
  23. I predict this one will be shutdown because of snow.
  24. Never a doubt in my mind:popcorn:
