I was told today that GRC's Cory Rogers has been voted the player of the year for the 10th region and Robbie Stenzel came in second .

Coach Scott Humphrey of GRC was voted as coach of the year.

This is the one that is recognized at the state tourney.

I am very proud of our coach and players. Congrats guys.:thumb:

A little bit of surprise, but congrats to all 3 on a great season to date.

Wow.

This is awesome news! Congrats to Corey and Coach Humphrey on this award! (as well as Robbie).

Who votes on this?

To my knowledge the coaches.

If it is the award recognized at Sweet 16, it is from KABC. Coaches who are members vote.

Yes this is the one.

So it's not a vote of the 10th region coaches, right.

No it is, that belong to the KABC, Which I believe they all do.

Congrats to all three. It is a surpise that Corey wins but he has had a great year.

I have not seen GRC yet this yr, but why is it a surprise that Rogers won player of the yr? Usually the best teams have the best players.

Girls 10th Region announced all region teams yesterday? When will they release the complete boys team?

Yeah but he may have not be the best player on his team. GRC is solid.

Rogers is my personal favorite on GRC and is a nice choice for POY but I think most thought it was between Robbie Stenzel and Setty.
