  1. Has Ledington taken another job? He doesn't stay anywhere very long.
  2. The NCAA needs to be tougher on athletic programs involves in incidents of a sexual nature Louisville Cardinals Rick Pitino fail once again in response to NCAA punishment for sex scandal ESPN is hammering Pitino, UL and the NCAA today.
  3. Changes in some of the hoops that you have to go through to receive a permit to mine will not revive the coal industry, but it may put it on life support for a while and keep people working. I do not see any long term solutions though.
  4. Approximately how much money will UL have to pay back?
  5. Jurich may have to fire him to save his own job.
  6. The school is in Whitley County and the field is in Knox County, but no part of the city or school district is in Laurel County, although the stadium is only 1/2 mile from the Laurel Co. line. Many businesses in what is called North Corbin have been pushing for annexation into Corbin, but Laurel has fought it off so far.
  7. The penalties seem a little harsh to me, especially if they do vacate the title.:idunno:
  8. Someone should have, although with the crew around Trump, it may be expecting too much. I'm not sure if Pres. Trump actually listens to anyone's advice anyway.
  9. The vast majority of people who were not already anti-Trump were not swayed in the least by Comey's testimony. If he would have stood up to Trump and resigned, or at least told him that what he wanted him to do was wrong, then his testimony would have had more of an effect, maybe even help to change some GOP politicians thoughts on whether he was trying to obstruct justice or not.
  10. Comey should have resigned or gone public after his meeting with Trump. It comes off now as if he is striking back at Trump for his firing him.
  11. Cavs actually shot 22 FT's in the 1st qtr. The officiating has been very one sided in my opinion.
  12. UK has them right where they want them now...Seriously though, the Cats are in major trouble against an excellent UL team.
  13. I'm confused as well. What difference does it make whether he is black or not? Whether you like King or Kap, King has a valid argument concerning why CK has not been signed by anyone yet.
  14. He is good at it, although being able to take 4 steps sometimes helps him out.:sssh:
  15. Morris is one of the best coaches in the region, so this is a very good hire by Middlesboro. I thought that he wanted to get out of coaching so that he would have more time to watch his daughter, kind of appears that he just didn't want any more to do with coaching at Bell under the current regime.
  16. Middlesboro Daily News | Morris heads to Middlesboro Former Bell Co. coach Lewis Morris accepted the head job at Middlesboro. "You want to go where you're wanted, you want to go where people are wanting to see things change. I think it's going to be a good situation."
  17. Corbin's biggest holes to fill will be the defensive line, where they lost 3 solid contributors, and the defensive backfield. The defensive backfield was very good for the most part on pass defense, but as a group were not very physical and just average tacklers in my opinion. The defensive line played outstanding, especially in putting pressure on the QB in the pocket. Offensively, they did not lose as much and I expect both the running and passing games to be a little better this year. Moore was a big loss, but Estep really came on and was the go to guy the second half of the season. They also return Mitchell, Barton and Gosselin, who combined for over 1000 yds. receiving last year. As far as the RB position, I expect Maguet, Estep and Keith to get the majority of the carries. Sizemore will obviously be the key to the offense, both running and passing, and from what I am hearing will be an even much better QB this year. Corbin does need to get faster on the edge and they may play some kids on both sides of the ball some to improve in that area. In the Belfry game last year, they moved their fastest player from LB to safety just for this game, which worked out well for much of the game, but in the second half he kept getting sucked up inside off of the Belfry QB's ball fakes and was out of position to help on the outside runs. He returns, along with 2 other starting LB's and this group(Simms, Money & Gibson) will need to be the strength of the defense while the newcomers get some experience. They had better grow up fast because the first 5 weeks of the schedule is going to be tough with Alcoa, Pulaski Co., Mayfield, Beechwood and rival Whitley Co. facing them. If they get some kids to step up on the defensive side of the ball to replace last year's Sr. class, the Redhounds could be playing Belfry again in the semifinals
  18. Ken Jennings, children's book author and famous past Jeopardy champion tweeted the following. Barron Trump saw a very long necktie on a heap of expired deli meat in a dumpster. He thought it was his dad & his little heart is breaking — Ken Jennings (@KenJennings) May 31, 2017 Why would anyone in their right mind think that referencing an 11 year old child to make fun of him is appropriate? I don't care whose son he is, it's just not right.:idunno:
  19. UK will obviously be good next year, but I'm not even sure if they will be the best team in the SEC, let alone #1 overall. The SEC should be stronger than it has been in years.
  20. Those coaching salaries look kind of low for the amount of time they have to put in. Corbin pays really well compared to the numbers you have listed, with both the boys and girls basketball coaches making in the 16-18K range per year.
  21. The Democrats have pretty much forsaken the middle class and it's too early to tell about the Trump regime. I'm not very optimistic though.
  22. Can they expedite Belfry moving out of 3A to this coming season?:lol2: Corbin will more than likely be moving to 4A at the next realignment, graduated 207 this weekend and have larger classes coming up.
  23. Dog Slaughter Falls, which is on Dog Slaughter trail between Corbin and Cumberland Falls.
