Shame on the school for just not kicking the kid off the team, shows that the coaches and the school did not care about what happened, and it showed the character, or lack there of, of those who should have ended his HS career right there. About $600 for 2 games of pool play, then one and out. Fee for team to be registered with AAU, fee for each coach to be registered with AAU, and fee for each player to be registered with AAU. Having officials who work too many games per day. Not enough people to work the clock and keep the books. Games having to be stopped constantly as the scorebook or scoreboard are wrong. Games running and hour or two hours late. Teams having to wait about 6 hours between games. Too much money and too many issues.

If it were to be moved, I would say Hoops. A lot of room along that main walkway, and a heck of a lot of seating, with court one having an entire side of stands that many small schools would envy. 6 courts at Hoops correct?

There are always issues with the KBA, can they ever solve those issues? But this thread is about how many teams that are now at the state ASU tourney. You now have many games off site, officials having too many games in a day, can't find enough time keepers and scorers, and having to wait about 7 hours at times between games. Has the state AAU become too big for the KBA? I know, where else would they hold it. But at least have the possibility of having the 15u on another weekend? As with the amount of teams that are there now, just having the 16u and 17u the same weeks would be plenty of teams.

There has always been a problem with officials and support personnel at the KBA. There is no reason that off officials should be able to work so many games in a day. And for years not all, but many officials there leave many scratching their heads. A team pays almost $600 to play two pool play games and then they are one and out, to pay that much money and having trouble getting both a time keeper and a scorer at your court? Then get this, then when someone tells the official that the score is wrong again, that official snaps back "it's only a kid"? Well the girl keeping the clock and score was about 18, but there is no excuse for this problem. And to that official, then why have a state AAU tourney if the score does matter.

You would be surprised! I do not know this guardian so I'll assume he is just a good person trying to help out.

I was told that the kid will only be eligible for 1 year, if he is ruled eligible. From what I was told, it's this coming school year and that is it, if it happens. This is because of the question about his age. We had one in Cincy we were talking about just about two months ago, and it seems like this kid is almost in the same boat. I heard that he is a good kid, and that he can defiantly help a team. Now, I follow CCH more than NCC, but I hope that the kid can get things in order and play here in NKY. I wish it would have been for CCH though, but whoever gets him, it would be nice to watch this kid develop.

Since Walter brought up the word "gardian", I'm wondering if I may know this gardian or not. If so, that would explain a lot. A few years back, around 2003, there was a guy in Cincy who lied to kids from Africa and their families, somehow got them to the U.S., and jacked them around from school to school, being denied left and right.

Also, yes, there are more that may come into the area. But back to something that may be an issue with this kid, some African countries are horrible at keeping birth records.

I can't believe that a while ago he was seen at CCH, and now he has been spotted at NCC, yet there is still very little information about him? Age? Grade in school? What country is he originally from? People have seen him pick up a basketball, what can he do with it? About the only thing that may not be known is his academics. Someone said he plays for the Cincy Lakers? Can he play? What age group is the team he plays on? No NKY team has played his team or seen him play at a tourney?

I see that the schedule is out. Why have 4 team pools when each team only plays 2 of the other 3 teams in their pool? How do you determine standings?

So you are not extremely interested in a day trip to near Pluto? Or take about two years off and travel to the edge of the Oort Cloud and back?
