^ Your #6 and #7 are ridiculous. On one hand you suggest that CCH isn't good enough to play with any of the big GCL boys, not even one game a year. On the other hand you are overlooking any possible talent that Beechwood or a school from Boone County may have by saying a CCH should never lose to them, nice show of respect. If you are afraid of them, afraid that a lose to them would hurt your feelings, then stop scheduling them, run and find teams you know 100% that you can beat. :popcorn:

Where do they play their local games? Also, for those of us who do not follow hockey too much, or at all, what are the AAA teams in the area? Is it good for that kid that he made the jump to AAA?

Should they win the region? YES! Will they? They can! Yes, anything can happen, but I am sure all of the other schools in the 9th would rather be in CCH's shoes Vs any other team. The 9th has a very good draw for the Sweet 16 as well. It's too early to tell on any dynasty, but they have all the pieces in place to have a very special run over the next few years. Will coach R stay if they have a nice run this year, or win the Sweet 16 again? (IF). Who knows, but to say that CCH won't be able to afford him anymore? He could have gone to a number of schools instead of CCH and made a lot more money, his family has a business so I am guessing that he will be willing to work with CCH, and would want to work with them. Some people are very happy where they are at and other schools will not be able to offer enough for them to leave. Having said that. I agree with Wireman, I say NCC! NCC, NCC, NCC, NCC, NCC! Write it down! Lawnboy, I just made reservations for you at the Lex Hyatt.

Then who should they lose to? No one? LOL. If you can't see that some of those games/teams that you listed as "bad loses" are very good programs, then no one can help you. But then you complain that CCH continues to schedule Ohio teams and go 0-7. So are you wanting CCH to create a schedule so they never lose a game? You complain about CCH losing games to programs such as NCC, Beechwood? And Ryle wasn't bad in 2009, and then what totally discredits you is mentioning LexCath as a bad lose? They lost to Trinity that year by just 1 point. When was the last time CCH played Trinity? It's great to have an attitude that you should win every game. But when you lose its sometimes therapeutic to realize that the other team was just better than you and just let it go, it will relieve a lot of your tension.

And that is what happens at many schools. A new HC is more less told that these people here or these people over there have been around for years and it would be a good idea to keep them. If the HC feels, on his own, that one or two people should come back, then fine. But anymore than that one or two is not "cleaning house".

Agreed, and Brossart inherited a monster schedule from Coach R, so why fire a coach who had little to no control over a schedule that was already set? I see the same issue this coming season, a monster schedule that will beat CCH week in and week out.

Agreed! You have a few games out of the hundreds of thousands of games each year where some use it as argument for a shot clock. People complain when the score is 160-2, now they complain when it is a competitive 2-0, I don't care what happened, it was a lot closer than 158 points.

That's what I meant, that the entire old staff would not be invited back. Didn't it leak out that coach R was applying to Moe? Maybe the leak is on the staff. I won't say which school, but at least one I know of had a decent coach, but at least a few staff members were talking behind the head coaches back, and even after they HC left, some continued to talk smack. When you leave your "circle of trust" must be tight and few. Now, I don't know all of the staff of the football team so I don't know. Bit someone has been leaking info out for a long time. JMO. As with any school I just hope they find the right coach, who won't use CCH as a stepping stone and move on in a few years, and a coach who the kids at CCH gets along with and wants to play for. Any young Gerry Faust's out there? BTW, I looked him up, hard to believe that he is a few months away from being 80.

I don't buy the "it's the basketball program is the problem" talk. There were issues before the present staff was in place. Besides, what does the basketball program has to do with some of the "events" that involved Wirth? If Wirth is applying for several open spots, it's obvious he wants to move on. Seems like he needs to be careful of who he can trust.

They really need to make sure those lids on the paint cans are sealed tight. Those fumes can get you thinking and saying weird things. :sssh:

As has been mentioned, it depends on the parent as well as timing. Patents really never said too much about plays to me, unless they were helping out in some way, and then they never seemed to push their kid. If it was a player, depending on how they suggested it, I would listen, they are on the court, they may see something different.
