  1. Down 9, Brossart got a nice looking three up from there best shooter. It went in and out. This was with 12 minutes left in the game. One shot from a good shooter makes it six with 12 to play. Is that never threatened? Won handily?
  2. Not sure Campbell County "cruised" into anything. The 17 point margin may have been the biggest lead of the game. The 10-0 run to start the game, meant a 13 point lead at halftime for Campbell. That lead was cut to nine on a couple of occasions in the second half, including into the fourth quarter.
  3. So just to play Devil's advocate, what's the difference between looking the stats up on the KHSAA site and sifting through 17 emails for the volunteer doing this? Seems to me one is as quick as the other.
  4. Here's the thing. Baseball's all-time hit leader is eligible, but not in the Hall of Fame. Baseball's all-time home run leader is eligible, but not in the Hall of Fame. The pitcher with the most Cy Young award's in history is eligible, but not in the Hall of Fame. Bad look for baseball. Take a stance and decide. Either wipe out their records and move on, or let them in on the numbers they produced while being allowed to play.
  5. Congratulations, Zoie! She can score from all three levels. Very good player.
  6. Congratulations! Very good player who will do well at the next level.
  7. Purple Rain Born in the USA Thriller Ten Frontiers
  8. Nice win for Carroll County. Really, really, really, happy to see this score
  9. Agreed, that it is a shame what people will do to win, and then proclaim they are in it for "the kids," or for the, "the right reasons." The program's I've known however, would never get close to allowing this to happen. It's blatant cheating, and at the end of the day, who cares who wins a 7th grade game? Any program boasting or cheating for that is never going to get it anyway. I hope your former coworker didn't resort to this level for the sake of a 7th grade win. The win means nothing past the moment, and taints all involved. I can say for certainty that while Beechwood, CovCath, Highlands, and NewCath have many state championships each, none would ever even get close to resorting to these acts.
  10. Why would a middle school team use kids that even in the middle school any longer? What possible purpose would it serve? I see no logic at all behind such a thing. Agree it may happen more than I realize. Silly me thinking everyone plays by the rules, and teaching kids that cheating is okay is a bad thing.
  11. Can't help you there, sir. I just know it must be out because there is lot's of discussion on it in the boy's forum.
  12. It's out. Lot's of talk about it in the boy's forum. Crickets here. I'd love to see some of the rankings.
  13. Wow. This should get interesting. It may not, as a gag order may go into effect. But, it could go off the rails.
  14. They didn't score after the first quarter, but I'm not sure a Brossart having a sophomore quarterback had anything to do with that. He is a quarterback, not a cornerback.
  15. I never saw this coming.Actually, figured Highlands would win out and go 5-5. Now guessing 3-7.
  16. a couple is two, literally. But, in this instance why not just play along with the DQ chairperson you are now dealing with, and help her help you? Give her a number, she will give them to you and that's that. I've seen guys go into a bakery and say, they just want a couple of donuts. Then proceed to order six. I've heard people say on a cell phone as they order their 88th beer, they were just having a couple beers with friends. I've heard people say when it comes time to pay/tip, just leave a couple dollars, for your share, when the bill is actually $100. I've heard people say they were only going a couple miles over speed limit, when given a ticket. Citation stated 15 plus.
  17. Again, I'm not really looking to go anywhere in particular with this thread. And, I've read many of your posts, so I certainly don't want you to think this is personal. And here come's the big, but.... First bolded, "cleared to play," kinda insinuates cleared to play for her new school, per KHSAA rules, no matter how you slice it. Cleared to play, to me, reads as we are all good here moving forward. Everyone is cleared to play in the summer, so what else could your "cleared to play," be referencing? Hence, the confusion. On the second bolded, or your second graph. You are wrong on many counts.
  18. I'm really not trying to go anywhere with it, other than someone, perhaps you, said she had been "cleared," or she wouldn't be playing. That where the use of the word, "cleared" started. However you want to slice it, the word cleared used in the context it was metnioned, clearly implied that she had been ruled to be eligible by the KHSAA. Otherwise, why not just say she's allowed to play this summer and leave it at that? Again, I'm trying to go nowhere with this. But, I can tell you some of what you are saying is wrong. Notably the bolded for starters. It's absolutely the responsibility of the receiving school to send the transfer papers.
