Defenses took the night off.

Lots of injuries on Scott's side. Gage Tucker and Trey Hicks being out are huge pieces of their defense. Logan Lawson, another starter on D and the kicker also was out. Holy Cross really didn't put together any long drives, but took advantage of Scott mistakes and turnovers. Holy Cross has some playmakers, and a good kicking game. For the life of me, I can't figure out why Barnes doesn't get more touches for Holy Cross.

How long are the Scott players out? Logan Lawson is a good athlete, saw alot of him when he was at Holy Trinity in grade school and NewCath as a frosh.

Holy Cross was in control most of the game, taking advantage of Scott turnovers and making some big plays on special teams. They just didn't have enough in the tank to sustain it for 4 quarters, and Scott finally took control in the 4th to pull away.

Key was the Scott D Line taking over down the stretch and blowing up anything HC tried to run. The Rice kid is rather impressive at DE, and he really was the difference in the 4th.

Unfortunately less than impressed with the adults in the Scott section. Had a lady cause a scene in the press box because she felt the HC announcer didn't get excited enough when calling the Scott plays, had someone blowing an officials whistle into the 2nd half and had several chanting at the HC student section once Scott finally took control. Left a lot to be desired...

Scott had seven touchdowns and seven 2-point conversions.

Glad I was on the sidelines.

Good lord.

The only one that I know about is Tucker, who will be out 4-6 weeks. Lawson is a good athlete. Made the transition from soccer to football last year. Came in as just a kicker, and worked his way into the lineup on defense pretty quickly.

He has gotten bigger since his NewCath days, I'm impressed.

Glad I was on the sidelines.

Sorry I missed you.

Abernathy is the feature running back running zone read offense with Scott as QB. Barnes is slot WR and H-Back. They try to put him in motion and give him the ball with jet sweeps or inside reverses. But they need him there to go out and be an extra receiver. As you can see by his long kickoff return for a TD, he is an exciting player. Big game from Williams as WR. Over 100 yards receiving and 2 TDs.

Glad I was on the sidelines.

Thanks for the stats at half. Sorry I missed you...
