  1. Are we sure on this? The BGP preview has Newport ranked number 15 in the Ninth Region. The NKY Tribune does not have them listed in the top 10 and I don't think they were in the top 10 in the Cats Pause preview either. Maybe Newport is good enough to be battling for the 2 spot in the Ninth, but the previews aren't showing it.
  2. Montgomery Inn for me, but I have to get the sauce on the side. Sometimes they use so much you can't taste the meat. GT's place has me thinking I'll give it a shot soon. Friday's actually has pretty dang good ribs from a place you wouldn't expect. I used to love Walt's but I haven't been by since they reopened.
  3. No question social media has changed the world. And everything shared so far is great. But, I'm not sure how much it would have changed the way the world already saw the OJ deal. It was on live 24/7. My best guesses, the Kennedy Assassination..., Woodstock may have become a disaster...., Elvis' death may have blown up the internet..., and most any story ever before the 80's at least would have been changed dramatically. If you placed today's society, journalism, and technology into any time period in the world, then I'm guessing we are completely rewriting history in some good ways, but in many bad too. We may not have ever had a bible for instance, because too many folks would be arguing over what all actually happened. My two cents...
  4. Very good point, it would have perhaps changed history. The movie "The American President," may have touched on this in a scene???
  5. I agree. There's also a place about 500 feet up the road that's pizza. Can't remember the name and I've never been inside. Anyone know how it is?
  6. Not saying it was the best burger in Cincinnati but I do miss Fuddruckers in the area. Something about putting your own fixins on the burger, along with all the fixins they offered, just always made it taste better to me. And I will say their burger buns were better than most. I haven't tried many of the places listed, but I do like the burgers at Arthur's in Hyde Park.
  7. Great information, thank you so much for finding/knowing this! These numbers say a lot.
  8. Interesting idea. It'll obviously never happen and has its holes. But interesting nonetheless... Bottom line, as long as the KHSAA makes money by opening the gates for 6 state championship games, they aren't going to trim that number (and lessen their revenue.) Like I said, bottom line. Figuratively and literally. Question for someone who may know how to find this info. How many football playing schools did Ky. have the last year of the 3 class system, and how many the last year of the 4 class system? How many are there now?
  9. Is McCracken a 6A school, and Mayfield a 2A?
  10. Does the class/division of the opponent matter in the RPI?
  11. Big homemade chili fan, but I almost never get it when out either. for me: 1. Wendy's. Seem to order it here more than anyplace else, it's pretty solid. 2. Frisch's. Used to love it, doesn't seem quite as good the last few times I've ordered. I've had Texas Roadhouse, and even if you order just a regular bowl of chili at Dixie or Skyline, they seem just okay.
  12. These numbers say a great deal. If you are at Lexington Catholic for 7 years and have an overall losing record, never won a district title, and never won a game in the regional tournament then the bottom line is you aren't getting the job done. A school with the resources and facilities that Catholic has, should never have that kind of dry spell.
  13. Baked potato, only butter is my go to as #1. Based on availability and preference my #2 is: Corn on the cob grilled asparagus Caesar Salad House Salad w/Italian or the house dressing Green Beans
  14. Thanks. I couldn't pick a top 3 at CP without Millenium being on the list. I'd put them at the top personally, followed by Dragster and Maverick. Huge fan of tall, smooth, and speed when it comes to coasters, so I really like the look of the new one at KI. I think it'll be awesome. This gives KI 4 coasters that are about as good as any you will find anyplace not named CP. (new one, Diamondback, Beast, and Banshee).
  15. Just curious, what are your 3 favorite coasters at CP?
  16. Tough call. Depends on how hungry I am. I can always go for a deluxe burrito and a rootbeer. I'd probably grab an ice cream sandwich on my way out the door to get to $12. Skyline burritos are really good IMO. If I'm a little hungrier then it's going to be a 3 way and a chili cheese sandwich, mustard no onion, with a rootbeer.
  17. "Florida man wasn't drinking while driving, just at stop signs."
  18. What happened to all that talk about how Campbell's tough schedule would really help them come postseason? Kept hearing that from you right until the time Brossart ended their season.
  19. I can tell you with 100 percent confidence that at least part of number 2 is incorrect, and I'll leave it at that.
  20. If enrollment matters in one sport, it matters in all. That's simple math, the more kids a school has to choose their team from, the more likely they are to succeed. It is impossible for me to grasp the logic behind classifying one sport to the myriad of SIX classes, but forcing other team sports to continue to play for ONE state championship. If the logic dictates we need SIX classes for football, then how does that same logic not dictate we need 3 or 4 for all the other team sports?
  21. So then, the timeless question...Why SIX classes in football because of the disparity in the enrollment of schools playing football, but only ONE class in baseball, soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball, etc? Why does the enrollment of these schools only matter when involving football?
  22. Macke was ejected from the game. First Silver Grove athlete ejected from a contest in nearly three years.
  23. As someone said, several things tipped it off (4A state, 4A J-County, etc). But, Conner clinched it for me. Actually, several things in 3A stood out as being 83. Conner, CovCath, and Lloyd's power rankings locked it in.
  24. My fault, I thought perhaps folks could read between the lines. I'll be super duper sure to just make all my comments directly and totally to the point from here on out. Funny though that no one posted a thing on the NDA volleyball job for two months and then....
