Micah Parsons Requests Trade
The Jones family loves the attention of it all. They know he is not going anywhere, just like Dak when he went through his whole contract thing last season.

Micah Parsons Requests Trade
In fairness, Parsons is on his rookie deal.

Micah Parsons Requests Trade
I put the chances of Parsons being traded at around 1%. It doesn't work like that in the NFL. This isn't the NBA.

Ha. No way he said that, did he?

Miami Northwestern (FL) suspended Teddy Bridgewater for allegedly providing impermissible benefits
On the surface, what TB was doing was noble. I don't think anyone disputes that. But these are blatant violations. I would assume there are avenues to make things like this permissible (i.e. booster club). You can't set policy based on what feels right or wrong.

Diddy????
From the Diddy side, I understand being privately excited that he avoided a life sentence on the RICO charges. But the dude was still found guilty of federal prostitution crimes. A victory for them, for sure, but going out there so braggadociously with all the heinous stuff that’s come out is gross.

Diddy????
He would not even be at 10 months served if released today. As I understood, the charges he was found guilty of carry a sentence of up to 10 years. I hope he gets something on the grounds of being a serial abuser, but we know how that often goe$.....

Diddy????
At some point, though it remains to be seen if it will be soon or a few years from now. I would think he would get something, but who knows with this stuff?

Kentucky Wildcats 2025-2026
The schedule has not been set. This is just a list of who they play.

Thunder 103 Pacers 91 (2025 NBA Championship)
Little tougher of a road than many anticipated for OKC in Round 2 and then during the Finals, but a historic run of a season for the young Thunder. The oldest player on OKC is Alex Caruso at 31. The whole roster is in tact for next year plus they have a slew of first rounders in the upcoming drafts.

Kevin Durant trade to the Rockets
Kind of. To compare, Durant (and TJ Warren was a throw in) was traded to Phoenix for 4 first round picks, a pick swap in 2028, Cam Johnson, and Mikal Bridges. Bane just went for 4 firsts, KCP, and Cole Anthony. Those are hauls. I will say, with the depth of talent, 2nd round picks do have more value than they used to. I never understood through the latest KD saga why Phoenix was under any obligation to “do right” by Durant. What did he ever do for them?

Pacers vs. Thunder (NBA Championship)
Starting to feel like 70% of the games OKC played this year. Blowouts. (Please make this a jinx.)
-
Pacers vs. Thunder (NBA Championship)
If there’s any team equipped to go on without their starting PG, it’s Indiana.

Pacers vs. Thunder (NBA Championship)
Damn, Hali went down. Most likely his Achilles as you could see the calf pop when he went down. He was throwing darts to start the game.

Pacers vs. Thunder (NBA Championship)
Go time. Traditionally, game sevens are rock fights.

2025 NFL Draft
This was his second one. He had another one from not long ago that was discovered after this incident.

Kevin Durant trade to the Rockets
Not many would have that perspective, though Durant didn't have a ton of value. In the context that Durant is in the final years of his career, you could argue it is a haul. Jalen Green was on his way out anyway (and may be on his way out in Phoenix), so effectively the #2 seed in the West last year traded Brooks and the #10 pick (which was Phoenix's original pick they'd lost in the Durant trade) for KD. The GM and ownership situation in the Valley is bad. The fact that they couldn't get Eason, Whitmore, or Shepperd is telling.

Pacers vs. Thunder (NBA Championship)
Update. Indiana smells blood in the water.

Pacers vs. Thunder (NBA Championship)
No. Would love to see a G7, but I think OKC is smelling blood in the water.

Buss Family to sell majority ownership of the Lakers
“High front office” as in related to player personnel? He’s been there and done that (and frankly has sucked at it).

2025 College World Series Discussion/Updates
Wow. Crazy finish. It’s felt like the CWS hierarchy has been Coastal Carolina, LSU, Arkansas, and then the other five.

I can't wrap my head around Coastal Carolina's winning streak.

2025 College World Series Discussion/Updates
What are the odds of this occurring? I was in attendance for Monday's no-hitter at the CWS. That was the first no-hitter at a CWS since 1960. In 2022 I went to game 4 of the World Series in Philadelphia. The Astros pitched a no-hitter, which was the first in a World Series game since 1956. So what does ChatGPT say?: College World Series (CWS) No-Hitter First CWS no-hitter since 1960. Only 3 no-hitters in CWS history (1952, 1960, 2024). The CWS has been held annually since 1947—that’s over 70 years of tournaments. World Series No-Hitter Only 2 in World Series history: Don Larsen’s perfect game in 1956 Astros combined no-hitter in 2022 (the one you saw) That’s 2 no-hitters in 120+ years of World Series games. ? Calculating Odds (Ballpark Estimate) Let’s say: You randomly attend one CWS game per year: 1/70+ chance of seeing a no-hitter. You attend a single World Series game occasionally: 2 no-hitters in ~700 total WS games ever = ~1 in 350. So, rough estimate of witnessing both: (170)×(1350)=124,500\left(\frac{1}{70}\right) \times \left(\frac{1}{350}\right) = \frac{1}{24,500}(701)×(3501)=24,5001 This is a very rough estimate and doesn't account for factors like which game of the series it is, teams involved, or pitcher quality—but still gives a sense of the rarity. ? Bottom Line You’ve witnessed: The first CWS no-hitter in 64 years, and The first World Series no-hitter in 66 years, in person. That puts you in ultra-elite fan territory—something most baseball fans will never experience, let alone twice. Odds? Tens of thousands to one. Pretty special.

2025 College World Series Discussion/Updates
Returned from Omaha yesterday. What an amazing experience and tremendous destination. I believe the Racers were close in caliber to UCLA, but the costly inning they couldn't get out of early on was tough to overcome. The Arkansas pitcher in their second game was dealing. One of the more dominating performances I've seen live in person. And it is not like Murray State is some kind of rec league team, the Racers could rake with most teams. Their pitching, where they don't have the depth, held up well all things considered.

Brian Wilson passes at 82
One of my favorite movies ever! And it’s incredibly perfect, as you describe.
