  1. Gives me chills every time I hear it. I’ve listened to it probably 10 times since his passing and rocked out for an hour to The Beach Boys on my road trip yesterday.
  2. I don’t think people realize how good defensively OKC is. Dort is a monster. Television does not do it justice as to how large of man he is. He’s been great on Haliburton.
  3. This is making me sick to my stomach.
  4. It's all over the place. That said, we are not exactly talking some kind of stadium marvel and the improvements have been more of the "fresh coat of paint" variety. I did see where the head coach and the rest of the staff (supposedly) help maintain the grounds at points. That's awesome.
  5. Hotel booked. Heading out tomorrow and will attend at least the Saturday and Monday games.
  6. Ha. These old pictures surfacing are hilarious. This looks like something following a wind storm. This is from the athletics website:
  7. The season before his Achilles injury, Rodgers was not that good.... people conveniently forget that. A lot of casuals will give you his total numbers from last season and say, "Look how good he was, it was not on him the Jets stunk." I would challenge those people to watch any consequential moments of Rodgers since the 2021 season and tell me how he made a positive difference on the field.
  8. It's bizarre seeing Rodgers in Steelers' garb.
  9. That photo is several years old, but not much has changed. It's incredibly surreal when you consider that for most of Murray State's existence, it has been a low-tier program. Their last conference championship was a surprise win of the OVC in 2003 (now in the MVC). And now, with their $0 NIL budget, they are on their way to Omaha. My buddy just went by as the team arrived back in town. He confirmed, the trophy is real. I'm now scrambling to figure out how to make my way to Nebraska this weekend. This is a Haley's Comet-type event.
  10. My legs are paralyzed.
  11. Let's do this, boys!
  12. Not a deep talent pool on the college baseball commentating front with the Worldwide Leader. It was a rough listen.
  13. The Racers survived the Oxford region and will travel to Durham for a showdown with the Blue Devils.
  14. I kinda get that perspective. It’s not the James Harden falling down on every three point shot or swinging his arms through a defender while he kicks his head back. SGA is still annoying. RE: Dort. I went to Game 3 just over a week ago (Minnesota blow out). That was my first time seeing Dort in person. Dude is a freaking unit. You can’t get a sense of how large he is on tv. Julius Randle could bang around and push LeBron and Draymond. Dort was a brick wall.
  15. The Thunder are (-700) favorites. That’s insane. My favorite OKC stat of the year: They are 29-1 against the Eastern Conference this year.
  16. The Thunder mollywhopped the Timberwolves last night to advance to the Finals. Maybe they go down in the Finals, but we are witnessing one of the greatest teams of all time. Their average margin of victory at home during the playoffs is 25.67 points. That would be like an NFL team winning its home playoff games by an average of 40. During the regular season, OKC led the league with 68 wins (record is 73), and now owns the highest point differential per game in NBA history. That ain't nothing.
  17. It is two different sports. The level of physicality they allow in the playoffs is comical.
  18. Historic collapses can't happen without some combination of both. For example, NY makes one of the two FTs they miss at the end of regulation (84.2% and 85.3% FT shooters), the game doesn't go to OT. Neismth went nuclear, but a couple of his looks were because of poor defense.
  19. I never know what those numbers mean with viewership taking on all different forms in today's media landscape. I also saw that the WCF Game 1 was down 25%. So, who knows?
  20. It was on brand as he has one of the worst reputations in the league. Most see him as a major tool.
  21. In this era, I believe every team in America is now in this mode. I do not pretend to understand recruiting, roster construction, or who mid-major transfers are. Trust the process, and hope you strike gold.
