It really is. It makes college basketball look like middle school. Which, for an NBA fan like me, makes watching anything outside of UK games unwatchable... and those are often a struggle to get through.

I always wonder how they negotiate this stuff. Why not just true home/away every year? Why Spokane Arena? And for anti-Cal people, this was NOT a neutral site game. That would be like saying playing at Memorial Coliseum is a neutral site game. Seattle/Nashville? I assume some has to do with national branding and recruiting, but who knows? It is probably the one thing that always brings us together and divides us: money.

I am not sure people realize how insane that number is. Four was the previous record. Others that could someday make it, but never have: Tyler Herro and Jamal Murray.

Last year it was in November in Spokane. There is a gap in the scheduling without the SEC - Big 12 Challenge no longer happening. Not sure if all, but many SEC schools have at least one week-long break between games during conference play. UK is not getting that this year.

As some of you said, I can't take much from last night's game. Vandy is a bad team. I always get suspicious of hot shooting games because the law of averages normally comes back into play the next game.

The backcourt has been healthy so we've seen how those numbers go. The Edwards/Thiero spot and Onyenso/Bradshaw minutes are fluid, I'd say, with Onyenso being in the driver's seat at this point. And Big Z just isn't ready. He made some plays in the first game, but that is about all he has given UK. Believe he was sick on Saturday and why he didn't see any action.

I believe the "lifetime" clause is more about him having the option to step down and still earn about $1M a year, presumably in an ambassador-type role. As I understand, if UK wants to terminate Calipari after this season, it would cost about $40M.

This is the last thing to close the Reed Sheppard commentary since he has become the lightning rod of this thread. He is not the problem with this team, but he isn't the solution. Both of those statements can be true.

Poor Bradshaw. He made consecutive good defensive plays and one gets tapped back in before the shot clock goes off, the other is rebounded by a crashing Vols’ player.

Oddly, UK could be leading this game. Multiple missed layups and Shep has missed three wide open from deep. Keep hoisting 'em up. It'll come around.

And in this game thus far, he is not able to handle the ball pressure being applied to him. He can't even get the offense started. This may get out of hand without Wagner.

UK kids should be at maximum potential by their second week in Lexington, regardless if they are allowed to purchase alcohol or not. We all know this.

... sadly for UK fans this will probably take place in the NBA. I could see him becoming a poor man's Myles Turner or Naz Reid type player.

Not sure he was ever an all-American candidate. He was highly touted and does have an athletic skill set he will grow into, I believe. I think he was stunted not being able to start the season with the squad because of his injury. Bradshaw seems to have a poor feel for the game at this point in his young career.

UK would not have been in the position they were in last night if it were not for Sheppard... Both the good and bad.
