Thunder 103 Pacers 91 (2025 NBA Championship)

Oklahoma City defeats the Indiana Pacers 103-91 to win the 2025 NBA Championship. A tough loss for the Pacers losing their leader Haliburton to looks like a torn achillies tendon in the first half. I hate it for him but it was a fun series to watch.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wins the finals MVP he is the first person in 25 years to win the league scoring title, regular season MVP and Finals MVP. Congratulations!! The last player to do this was Shaq in 2000.

Little tougher of a road than many anticipated for OKC in Round 2 and then during the Finals, but a historic run of a season for the young Thunder. The oldest player on OKC is Alex Caruso at 31. The whole roster is in tact for next year plus they have a slew of first rounders in the upcoming drafts.

Losing Haliburton ultimately was impossible for Indiana to overcome.  Just highlights how big a deal letting Game 4 get away from them was.  Maybe OKC doesn't let Game 6 happen the way it did if they were down 3-2 going into that game, but I think there's a very real chance that it never even gets to Game 7 to have Haliburton at risk if they take Game 4.  Considering he could realistically miss all of next season now as well, this might really have a ripple effect.

Sounds like a great GM/ownership.

And it made the final game somewhat anti-climatic for me after Haliburton went down.
