Chris Mack has been fired as the coach of Louisville
Even top programs like UNC, UK and Kansas probably wouldn't bother wasting time to put together an offer for Brad Stevens for the position. As big as those three Blue Bloods are, they understand their coaching jobs are not as great as the situation Stevens has himself in. The only exception would be if Stevens were to be leaving hints he is tired of the NBA which I don't foresee.

Ohio State 48 Utah 45 (Rose Bowl)
I wonder how players will take this purge of coaches? Will the players understand their position coach was not achieving at a level expected and accept the firing or feel like the trusted father figure was taken from them. You fire one or two assistant coaches, generally not much to worry about. You go after assistant coaches left and right, morale of players may be affected.

If it isn't the playoffs, it doesn't mean much to the SEC, lol. Unless of course it is the Citrus Bowl, Go Cats.

If OSU was looking at UK's O line coach, you have to think others will too. Barnhart better start working up some more new contracts. Price of season tickets may go up soon, lol.

Was O Line a problem? I thought there were problems with the defense but the offense was pretty solid across the board.

Chris Rodriguez Returning for 5th year.
Were there any reports he may leave? I thought it was pretty much a given he was coming back.

Wan Dale Robinson entering NFL draft
With he and Ali gone, who will be Levis's primary two targets next year?

Kentucky 20 Iowa 17 (Citrus Bowl)
Supposedly a big NIL deal is in the works for him. I would love for that to keep him for his senior year but odds are not good.

Georgia vs. Alabama (CFP Championship) Predictions/Updates
This is closest national championship I can think of. I really can't pick who I think will win. I hope Georgia does for the sake of their fans who have been waiting so long for a championship but I can argue either winning this game pretty evenly.

UK just needs to consistently win 8+ games in the regular season each year and they should position themselves well to be in good bowls.
- Who's #3?

Back To The Future - A Better Way
Yes they would deserve a bowl and that is why I am glad there are more than 8 to 10 bowls so they and other teams can play in one.

Back To The Future - A Better Way
Last year UK had a worse than 6-6 season and went on to beat a ranked NC State. I would say UK deserved a bowl. Also last year, Ole Miss had a worse than 6-6 season and went on to beat top 10 Indiana. I think Ole Miss deserved a bowl also. I never understood the notion that 6-6 teams should not get in when top conferences like the SEC can have some pretty respectable 6-6 teams. Also, not allowing 6-6 just encourages teams to water down the out of conference schedule even worse than they already do now.

Who's #3?
Wouldn't surprise me if Baylor gets the #3 ranking.

Trinity's John King
Yeah, that was about 12 or so years ago when John's older Brother and St. X Alum.

Current Top 25 Recruiting Classes Rankings as of 12/16/21
I wonder if that means that the recruiting classes of those three schools are so close that it is a coin flip to determine who is first?

Urban Meyer, next stop?
Petrino's past makes Meyer look like a decent guy and UofL didn't hesitate to hire Petrino back. Do you think the rest of college football has higher moral/ethical standards than UofL does? I think, if you are a proven winner (like Petrino and Meyer), I think you can get away with all sorts of sins and find another lucrative position. I think in the next few years, Rick Pitino will be back coaching in the Power 5 conferences. If Brian Kelly had a winning record that looked more like Gerry Faust's, Bob Davey's, Tyrone Willingham's or Charlie Weis's, would Notre Dame have overlooked the scissor lift in high winds incident where Kelly's arrogance killed a student, and not fire him? I doubt it. Maybe your are correct and I am just pessimistic about the ethics of athletic departments when it comes to having the opportunity to hire a proven winner. But......let's face it, after Tubby left, Mitch did not want to touch Coach Cal with the Rose/Camby issues hanging over Cal's reputation so Mitch went with the "safer" option and hired Billy G. After that flopped, Mitch NEEDED a winning coach and suddenly didn't care about Cal reputation. If a coach like Sark flops and Texas continues to fall further in prestige and national relevance, will the brass in Austin find excuses to look past Meyer's faults? I think so.

Urban Meyer, next stop?
Urban isn't tainted goods, he can get just about any college he wants, just needs to wait for one to open. Texas if Sark doesn't work out? Bama if Saban retires soon? Back to OSU when Day finally wins a championship and leaves?

Tiger Direct Refurbished Laptops
Does anyone on here have much experience with refurbished laptops purchased from Tiger Direct? I am looking for a laptop for work (small charity). The IT guy on our board recommended the laptop have atleast 16 gig of memory, a 4 CPU (pretty sure that means quad core) and at atleast a half terabyte of SSD. I'm one of those weirdos who likes keyboards to have that eraser thing in the middle of the keyboard so I don't have to mess with a mouse so I am looking at a Thinkpad. I see two on Tiger Direct that meet those minimums that are both refurbished. Should I feel safe buying one or am I taking a risk buying a refurb from Tiger Direct? Thanks for any help you can provide.

If Mark Stoops leaves...
No argument from me.
-
If Mark Stoops leaves...
I was surprised when I heard that also.
-
If Mark Stoops leaves...
1. My guess is Stoops would not accept that, he wants football to have a brand new facility and let track do with the Nutter facility what they want. 2. I don't think the private plane travel is asking too much. Stoops pay is too high for him to be wasting time in public airports waiting for flights.

Kentucky 52 Louisville 21
Alot of UK fans were saying the same thing about both Stoops and Brooks at about the same point in their tenures at UK. Had the Athletic Department listened to the fan base and fired either or both coaches at that point, UK football would be a decade behind where they are now. Kinda the same if Michigan had listened to their fan base and dumped Harbaugh. Not saying Satterfield is the right person for the job, just it is too early to know for sure.

Is Harbaugh's Seat Nice and Cool Now?
I would say Jim is pretty safe for more than just a year.

I think Jim's seat is good and comfy now.
