Camels are playing much better now then they were that week.

Here are my updated 10th Region Rankings. Opinions? 1. George Rogers Clark (undefeated in Ky. this year) 2. Campbell County (beat Cov. Cath and Lost 2-1 to Clark) 3. Harrison County ( young team starting to jell) 4. Bishop Brossart ( tough with Mutsch on the hill) 5. Bourbon County ( bats coming around) 6. Scott ( had a good week with two good wins) 7. Nicholas Co. ( should be second seed in their district) 8. Pendleton Co. ( playing better as the season goes on) 9. Paris ( have had their moments this season) 10. Silver Grove ( tough district keeps them from advancing)

The Camels had defeated Hazard earlier in the day 7-3 and Clark had manhandled Anderson Co. 15-4 in five innings.

Yes it was an excellent game. Campbell took a 1-0 lead on a Danny Jenkins home run and the lead held up until Josh Wood homered for Clark with one out in the bottom of the sixth. Brandon Mitchell then hit a two out single down the left field line to score Clark's second run in the sixth. Tim Duvall and Travis Hurd each threw excellent games with Clark having six hits and the Camels having four.

The Camels win their fourth straight with a six inning 12-2 win over the Wildcats. Mark Hinkel goes the distance improving his record to 2-0. Andy Franzen knocks in three with a home run and a double. Austin Studer, Travis Hurd, Tim Sampson, and Danny Jenkins also add two hits each. Camels are now 10-3 on the season and head to GRC for a weekend tournament with Anderson Co, Hazard and GRC. :dancingpa

Couldn't agree with you more BIL, its been that way since those teams moved to the 10th.

Hurd and Woodruff are both 4-1, with ERA's under 1.50. Not much difference in either of them. Both are having excellent seasons.

Kind of ironic that Campbell beat both Highlands and Covington Catholic and is rated below both of them.

GRC is still in my opinion the team to beat in the 10th. They are 15-1 presently. The Camels should have a better idea where they stand in the 10th following Saturday's game at GRC. If the Camels play good defense they are a very solid team. Three good starting pitchers and a fairly decent hitting team.

Actually it was the third inning that the Camels scored the four runs. After the error, Brandon Griffin doubled off the fence and that was followed by an Austin Studer double in nearly the same spot. Travis Hurd then hit the single to plate the fourth run. Catcher Tim Sampson started the inning with a double leading off the innning. Camels are now 9-3, with Mason Co. coming to town tomorrow. A good game between two class programs. Junior Jordan Woodruff went the distance for the Camels scattering four Cov. Cath hits and improving his record to 4-1.

The Camels take on Cov. Cath. in Alexandria on 4/23 at 7:00. Opinions?

The Camel Freshman improve to 7-1 with the win over Brossart. Camel baseball is off to a good start as the JV is 8-1 and the Varsity is 7-3 :dancingpa :dancingpa

Camels handled the Wildcats 13-1 this week at Pendleton.

Brossart took advantage of 5 Camel errors to score 5 unearned runs. Camels cannot dig themselves that kind of hole against a good Brossart team and expect to win. Congrats to Brossart, you deserved the win. Camels will bounce back and will be ready come tournament time.

I agree as well. The Eagles were the better team tonight. The Camels couldn't pitch it, catch it, hit it or throw it tonight. We will see how they respond Monday against Pendleton Co. Scott hit the ball well when they needed it and played good defense as well and the pitcher did a good job.

GRC is now rated 24th in the state in the just released new state baseball coaches poll. Campbell County has climbed to 27th and Lexington Catholic holds down the number one spot. To view the entire poll go to KHSBCA.com and click on polls.

Big district win for the Mustangs, now 3-0 in the district.

Camels continue hitting the ball, pounding out 16 hits, with Jordan Franzen, Austin Studer and Travis Hurd collecting three each. Danny Jenkins hit a two run home in the Camel five run third inning, which broke open a game that was tied at 1-1 at that point. Jordan Woodruff gets the complete game win on a five hitter against the Coach Poll's 18th ranked team in the state. Camels now 5-1 on the season. :ylsuper:

actually Scott plays the Camels on Friday and yes Brossart did already beat Silver Grove.

Brossart not hitting much right now. I'll go with the Eagles. Its the second district game for the Mustangs as they defeated Calvary yesterday.

Cook took the loss against Conner. Not sure if he started or was used in relief.

I'd pass on playing on a day like today and not risk have to drop a game when the weather is warmer later in the season.

Those high priced bats aren't supposed to be used in this cold weather are they? I thought someone said it had to be 40 degrees for them to be used and for a game to start as well. I guess that call is up to the home team though. Anyone know for sure?
