10th Region Rankings

Featured Replies

Here are my updated 10th Region Rankings. Opinions?

1. George Rogers Clark (undefeated in Ky. this year)

2. Campbell County (beat Cov. Cath and Lost 2-1 to Clark)

3. Harrison County ( young team starting to jell)

4. Bishop Brossart ( tough with Mutsch on the hill)

5. Bourbon County ( bats coming around)

6. Scott ( had a good week with two good wins)

7. Nicholas Co. ( should be second seed in their district)

8. Pendleton Co. ( playing better as the season goes on)

9. Paris ( have had their moments this season)

10. Silver Grove ( tough district keeps them from advancing)

There seems to be a tremendous drop off after #6 Scott. I have not seen Nicholas Co. this year but in the past, IMO, haven't been that good. Although I do disagree with Silver Grove being at #10. They've played some teams very will this year. They only lost 5-3 to Brossart with Mutsch on hill which I think is VERY impressive for such a small school.

Mine would be....

1a-Clark Co.

1b-Brossart

3-Harrison Co.

4-Scott

5-Campbell Co.

6-Bourbon Co.

7-Paris

8-Nicholas Co.

9-Pendleton Co.

10-Silver Grove

Didn't Campbell lose at home to Scott 18-2 and to Brossart. I would think Both those teams should be above Campbell. I'm goiong to have to agree with striker on this one.

GRC should be #1, they are undefeated in the state...a huge accomplishment. #2-5 could be claimed by several teams at this point in the season.

Camels are playing much better now then they were that week.

I think HC (13-4) is the #2 team, their only losses in Kentucky were a 2-0 loss vs. #17 Boyd County and a 3-2 extra inning loss vs. #14 GRC.

1) GRC (19-1, 8-0, 5-0)

2) Harrison County (13-4, 6-1, 4-0)

3) Bishop Brossart (11-8-1, 6-0, 3-0)

4) Campbell County (11-5, 5-3, 1-2)

5) Scott (6-6, 2-1, 1-1)

6) Bourbon County (12-6, 8-3, 3-1)

7) Nicholas County (9-9, 4-4, 3-0)

8) Mason County (5-12, 2-5, 1-0)

9) Paris (6-11, 3-6, 0-4)

10 a) Pendleton County (7-14, 4-6, 1-3)

10 b) Montgomery County (3-10, 1-4, 1-4)

1) GRC

2-6)Harrison Brossart Scott Bourbon Campbell

The Rest...

Tough to tell with a month still left in the season, but right now GRC seems the team to beat, They haven't lost to a team that calls the bluegrass state home. Impressive. Any of the top 6 teams in the region has a punchers chance to win it though IMO, It all depends on the region draw, It sure is a shame that the 40th can only send 2 teams this year. It has been the toughest district in the region since Scott joined 2 years ago.

Maybe this year it is the toughest. However, the past 2 years the 37th has been tougher with GRC, Montgomery and Bourbon. And yet, neither of those districts has claimed a Regional title in the past 3 years.

I'm not saying that any of the teams from the 37th are going to win the region, though 3 of them can. What I am saying that it is a shame that either Scott or Campbell will be sent home before even playing in the regional tourney, because both are capable of winning the region. No more, no less. You always have to take jabs.

Discuss the 10th Region and not each other. Take the personal comments, to the pm's.
