Birds will roll in this one regardless of location of the match. The score will be in the 50's for the birds and perhaps a 4th Qtr. TD for the Colonels. The idiom, " final nail in the coffin ",comes to mind regarding Brossart's future coaching tenure at CCH.

:thumb: I sure hope the Cov Cath players have more common sense than to read these posts! I am confident they have worked their tails off in preparation of this season. Regardless of what the critics may say about the competencies of the coaching staff, the kids have worked their tails off and deserve better than what is being posted on this site. The season is still young. Cov Cath is still in the thick of things to win the district, region and perhaps, state! Looks like many may be eating a little crow 'round Thanksgiving!

The O-line is taking alot of shots regarding how slow they apprear to be and the lack of blocking that is not taking place in the trenches... As you recall from last year, Dale and staff repeatedly commented to the media that if you are not getting the ball on O then you have a blocking assignment. On last year's O, everyone, QB, WRs and running backs blocked- at the line of scrimage or down field. So as the comments continue to fly regarding this year's O-line, analyze the backfield and see if they are carrying out their blocking assignments. Or are they watching the play... All will have to play their part to help the development of the line this year. IMO, that is where the offense misses JC the most. I do agree with the common post regarding this year's O line. They will get better as they near the playoffs. They will peak at the right time during the right game...:thumb:

This is just another game along the way to the pizza box in Louisville! :thumb: Actually, early match-ups like this one usually flush out the weaknesses and strengths on the squad... It provides Dale and the staff the opportunity to shore up the weaknesses and to make improvements before the start of district play. The goal is to play as hard as one can and to be able to walk out of Colerain Stadium without injuries.

Most likely coach B's last year at the school in Park Hills, Ky. Frankly, I didn't think it was a match made in "heaven" at the gitgo! I do wish the Colonels the best of luck during the rest of the 2008 campaign!

Saw the same, eh... how do you say it? "espirit de corps" on the Ryle sidelines today at the JV game. The Ryle coaches kept the athletes focused to the very end. I agree DMZ - Ryle just keeps on gettng better and better.

Sometimes one should not be so critical... calling the O-line the worst in 10 years is wreckless and not warranted. We all agree that they have some work to do and kinks to work out. They may or may not develop into the line that we were blessed with last year. But they will get better. They will work to the best of thier ability to help the team. They are a great bunch of decent young men.

This squad resembles the '05 team that also followed a state champion team. It took the '05 team some time to jell. The '05 coaching staff and players also took some shots. But once they found thier mojo, they rolled to the 1/4 finals until they faced a very good Lex Cath team and an outstanding QB by the name of Justing Burke. Take it easy on the 'Birds. This season is just getting started and they will improve all the way down to the pizza box. This is the time they need the moral support from the football community... not condemnation. The line will be fine... the skilled positions will continue to develop and all will be well at the end of the day.
