Johnson throws the deep ball much better than the shorter throws. One of three things generally happen to throws that don't get batted down by the d-line...largest percentage sail on him, followed by those that are at the WR's feet and lastly, the ones that are dropped. Equates to poor to terrible passing game.
We can run the ball but struggle in the red zone, too predictable. Against Georgia, too safe, played not to lose.
The defense missed Jordan Jones immensely, yesterday. The D-line needs work, but is definitely improving. Courtney Love is too small for strong side LB in SEC, struggled to tackle Tenn TE yesterday. DB's give too much cushion for me. They take some terrible angles. And when making tackles attempt to knock the ball out before securing the tackle...which usually means they whiff. Saw several displays of that yesterday.
Not sure if you could tell on TV, Neyland is much more quiet, as much as you can call 110,000 people quiet, when we had first and second downs, impossible place to hear and be productive on third down. Kudos to them.
Always enjoy the trip to Knoxville, just never the result.
