I have no problem with you disagreeing LABS, but facts are facts, and you don't have them. The kids from Boyd County quit before the Johnson Central game, the week before the Ashland game. Sounds like you sat beside a disgruntled Boyd County fan/parent/coach last night and he fed you a bunch of bad info. Tony Love has always won and lost with class. Now I know some local schools have had problems with the way a former middle school coach did things, and have had problems with the way some of Ashland's administration has done things in the past, but as I've said Coach Love has always done things with class.

The kid missed the kick plain and simple. It wasn’t at onsides kick or call. Coach Love is a quality guy and doesn’t deserve to have his character questioned.

Like I said you have bad info. Ashland didn’t come close to running up the score against Boyd County. Ashland could have won that game 100-0. They played most Freshman the entire 2nd half. Boyd County was just awful. They had kids quit and they played a lot of young kids themselves.

Bad thing for Ashland is that you know Matney probably took the loss harder than anyone. After this week's game with Belfry that rematch with Ashland will be all he prepares for. I guarantee ball security will also be high on the list. Johnson Central is still the team to beat in 4A until someone knocks them out.

And Lee Evans was doing an outstanding job before that. That is the mistake the made that sent the program spiraling down.

4 and 2, although it should have been 4 and 3. The officials blew one of the fumbles.

Ashland forced them, but Johnson Central had no trouble running the ball at all. If they play again I would still have Johnson at least a 14 point favorite even at Putnam.

Honestly thought there would be a lot more discussion on this game.

I don’t necessarily agree with that. It’s their first loss of the season compared to Ashland’s 2. Playing at Putnam Stadium is at least worth 6 points for Ashland. I stick with Ashland staying at #4

I firmly believe the extremely weak district really hurts Ashland and Johnson Central. Greenup County is much improved this year, but it’s really hard to improve from week to week when you’re playing teams that would struggle to beat a lot of schools JV teams.’

So Mason County finished 2nd in their district?
