Congrats to the Rams, and the new receiver that @oldrambler mentioned, where did he come from? Did he just decide to come out for football late, or is he a transfer that just became eligible?

Can you go back a few frames to where the ball is caught, or at least show where the player is when the ball is getting ready to touch his hands. You really can't tell anything from this picture.

Raceland wins big. I know it's hard to believe, but the Daily Independent's Guest game picker for this week is an even bigger schmuck than last week's guest picker. :sssh::lol2::lol2:

It was 41-0 at the half and a running clock the 2nd half. Ashland moves to 4-0 and Russell drops to 0-3. Ashland travels out of state again next week as they play Ironton at Tank Memorial Stadium and Russell should get in the win column next week at home against Boyd County.

Looks like 4 out of the 5 guys from the Daily Independent's Pick'Em contest picked Greenup County to win this week, including their trivia winner from this week. Not sure who that guy is, but he looks like a real schmuck.

Thanks for your input. I wouldn't exactly say Russell dominated Ironton. I thought both teams were very inept on offense, but I do agree that Russell probably should have won the ballgame. Losing Brandt is definitely a huge loss for the Tomcats, but they showed Friday night that their offense is still pretty explosive without him. I'm not sure if Junior Jones will be back for this game. I'll be very surprised if he is.

Even though Ashland has several key players out with injuries, I still think the Tomcats win big in this one. I'm interested to know what @Little Ram has seen in Russell so far that makes him/her think the Red Devils come out on top in this game.

Johnson Central should win this one fairly easy. I'm pretty sure South Charleston was beaten by a couple of scores by George Washington, which was trounced by Ashland this past Friday. Johnson Central 55 South Charleston 7

I think Russell has improved from week to week, but they need to cut down on their mistakes. They pretty much beat themselves last night with their mistakes. They will have their hands full this week against Ashland on the road.

Congrats to the Rams. I must admit that I'm extremely disappointed that @sidelinedoc has yet to show off the revamped Ram stadium. Where are those pictures you promised?

Very nice win for the Tomcats on the road, but it could have been very costly. Ashland’s WR Cade Brandt left the game in the 1st quarter with what is rumored to be a broken collarbone.

I think this game will be a good barometer of how good this Tomcat team is this year. They absolutely destroyed Harlan County, but struggled against Raceland. Ashland has yet to show they can run the ball this year, but have shown they can score quickly through the air. GW usually has a really good team, and their QB has already committed to Marshall. Going on the road against a quality opponent is always tough, especially when it's an out of state team. Hopefully Ashland will have Isaac Caines back this week. He is another WR with speed to burn, and will be another big threat for the offense. I'm not going to try and make a prediction, but hopefully the Cats will come home with a win.
