Scott County has released their 2026 schedule. 9 of 10 games remain the same. GRC is swapped for growing rival Franklin County. Other than that, the location of the matchups are flipped from last season.

They looked for stability with Helton a few years back, And now looked for a splash with woods. Both didn’t work out in the end. I know walls is taking a break from coaching to focus on his young & growing family, but he has mentioned desire to coach boys if the opportunity were to arise. Should be an interesting development!

Scott County still has the prestige to pick up a top guy. @TribeTime has mentioned Walls. I like the fit, but I am not sure if the school will look his way or possibly try to go with a bigger name.

Alleged sexual misconduct with at least two students. There have been rumblings since late November, but nothing was confirmed until an official investigation claimed the girls claims are substantiated. The superintendent and board have attempted to cover up what had happened, but one the mothers is going over their heads and talking with news stations this week. All evidence she’s collected is being brought to the table.

I’m not sure when, but Scott County will be removing Coach Woods at some point before next season. Nothing official yet, but it’s something to look out for in the next few weeks.

Soon to be Junior NT Lucas Fint has gotten a lot of looks online for his bench of 405 x 8. Love the attention on Scott County football! Fint being a wall in the middle of our line for the next two seasons will be crucial, as we saw last year how vital it is to have run stoppers. Go cards.

Scott County will be much better this year on both sides of the ball. A team full of juniors/sophomores last season will take the field nearly the same as last year. Obviously, the players to watch are Timmy Emongo, and JuJu Harmon. They are all state level players who will be key components in a team they will be their best since at least 2022. Returning Junior QB Charlie Ellison having another year of development will be vital as well. The sophomore played great last year, but also had moments where his lack of experience was noticeable. If he steps up and plays better ball in the big moments that offense will run through anyone in the state. However, the offense wasn’t what kept them from another state title. Defensively, they were young, and small. Their secondary was solid and filled with talent but their front 7 was very inconsistent at best, at their worst not good. Their schedule will be stacked yet again. Some matchups are yet to be revealed, but Highlands, BG, Woodford are sure matchups. They went 1-3 in those games last year with Woodford winning both games. This year they are built to beat these teams more so than they were last year. Getting Woodford at home this year likely to decide the district will be massive. All in all, There is a lot to be learned in regards to this Scott County team. Who’s new? Who are they playing in their non conference slate? What adjustments will be made defensively? A lot of good questions! The schedule typically comes out before school goes out in mid May. A team I’d look out for as a week 1 matchup is Franklin County. They usually play us every other year. Would be a great matchup if that’s the case! I will add more to the 2026 Scott County thread as information comes in. SC is king.

SC will be a top team in KY next year. Find a kicker and you’ll cruise to Kroger. Is what it is tonight.

Scott County 18 Woodford County 14 Halftime. I have a very, very bad feeling. Not sure if we lose this lead we’ll be able to recover with our special teams woes so far.

Scott County recovers fumble, but whistle had already been blown. Few plays later, a 30 yard touchdown is scored. 14-12 Woodford. Missing easy points is killing Scott County.

Not impressed with special teams at all so far. It’s been bad.

Sweep to Emongo for his second TD. Pretty easy so far for SC. 12-0 two missed PATs. Have to be better in the kicking game.

Trap dive goes all the way to the Woodford 30. 1st and 10 coming following the woodford timeout. SC looks as sharp as they did last week thus far.
