In a game where our team has our boys who play both ways going, Emongo playing etc…100%. I’m intrigued by this Emongo situation, we’ll learn more in the Battle of Elkorn press conference tomorrow.

Timeout camels. 3rd and 6 at their 36 coming up. Playbook has been pretty limited so far for Campbell county really utilizing the running game with the Scott county pass rush overwhelming.

Scott county runs 14 sweep and gives their wing back the ball for a 40 ish yard touchdown, once again untouched. 14-0 Scott County 3:46 left in the 1st quarter. Unless I am mistaken, no Emongo so far tonight. O line looks noticeably bigger.

Scott County goes out of shotgun for a 7 yard hitch completion. Brings up 3rd and 3, before a hard count offsides gives a first down to the cardinals.

Camels QB runs for 9 before being tackled firmly. He’s taken a lot of hits thus far. Cards get the ball at the camel 48 to get to work.

Camels to start at their 13. Coverage sack on 1st down. Camels are in 2nd and 19 at their 4.

First play TD for Scott County. Way at FB takes it 55 yards untouched. 7-0 Cards

Anderson Owens in one of his only plays that drive gets the sack to end the drive. That was worrying in terms of depth. Not a lot at DT.

Cards without a few of their top guys on the field during this first drive. No Emongo, and Fint. They may have Fint playing center only today. Not sure yet. 4th and 6 at the cards 38 for the camels.

Against my better judgment, I purchased the scrimmage lol. Teams are meeting at the 50 for the coin flip now. Camels are sporting their all white game jerseys, while per usual Scott County is in their practice jerseys.

Home games only. Road games usually are on glicod, or a student at SC does his own broadcast for free on YouTube.

I know for our yearly subscription to watch Scott County, and Great Crossing (there is no option to only pay for one school) it’s $180.

Some quick notes for tonight. Stream is available on Scott County HUDL, but is 18 dollars for 24 hour access. I’ll likely pass on that. Some updates will come via Twitter, and I’ll post those here if I’m not tuning in. I expect this to be a relatively “boring” scrimmage. Mr. Kentucky candidate Timmy Emongo only got one carry last season in the scrimmage vs Lou Central and took it to the house. McKee likely will play him defense only tonight outside of 1 or 2 touches. What will be important to watch for Scott County will be the kicking game, and the entire defensive line. The kicking game is seemingly fixed with a stud kicker who transferred in, while the D-line is the same group for the most part just with another year under their belt. Lucas Fint is the player I’ll be watching the most there. The final score may not look flashy but that’s not something I will worry about. McKee will run a lot of backs out there in place of his top guys all throughout the game. Go cards.

I would be suprised to not see Scott Co. in the top 10 once we get some games under our belt. Ryle probably shouldn’t be on this list entirely but we’ll see.

CAL should win, but it will be a low scoring defensive game.

This season doesn’t look very promising for Ryle to say the least. Highlands looks good. Should win 8-9 games!

Bluebirds by however many they can get before JV goes in. Purely based off of last week’s results.

Based off everything I’ve read, I imagine BG will run it up early on Male while it’s V vs V. Good game to see where both squads stand before their gauntlet schedules begin.

I expect the defense to be better. Lucas Fint going into his junior season as NT has to improve, and I expect him to. Time to translate the 500 LB bench press to the field! The entire LB unit remains from last season, and the only change in the secondary is at Saftey with Harmon transferring out, and Dantzler coming in from Lou Central which is an upgrade but both are really good players. Anderson Owens at OLB/Edge will need a big year as well! Our new kicker is also a massive addition too. The defense wasn’t always great last year, but teams often started nearly on our side of the 50. Now they’ll have to drive 80 yards almost every drive.

Campbell County played Thomas Nelson. Details are extremely limited on that. I’d imagine the Camels were fairly dominant but I haven’t heard anything on the results. Scott County did its own scrimmage separating the team in red vs white. This is because they now play BG in the regular season, so their annual scrimmage is no more for now.

Whoops, missed that. Now that move makes more sense with Harmon gone! OL should be fine, we moved big Fint to IOL to help, so he’ll be on both sides this season. Sophomore 6’7 Tackle JJ Rhode will be a likely starter to replace Taylor. The O-line the last few years has been a bit undersized to the usual Scott County lines. That changes this season from what I’ve heard. This is the biggest, and strongest OL since 2022 when we had 5th years making up 80% of our line!

Scott County and Campbell County face off for the first time since 2018 this Friday. Campbell County is entering this season with a new coach, and young roster. Xander guy will now be under center for the Camels. His 2025 stats as QB2 were decent (339 yds, 4 TD 4 INT), they’ll need him to jump to the next level this season. First year coach Rick Honaker will put a lot of trust into his QB. Their playbook will feature tons of RPO’s, and hot adjustments giving his QB the ability to often call the shots himself based on his reads at the LOS. This is a young, unproven team that has a lot of question marks. Their RB1 had only a little over 100 yards last year, and they lost 4 of 5 top tacklers on the defensive side. 26 juniors are on the roster so they expect a few to mature and play high level football to help the team win. Scott County on the other hand is a well oiled senior filled machine. Coach Jim McKee is nearing year 30 calling the plays, and has some of the best weapons to utilize that he’s had in years. Ball state commit Timmy Emongo is the leader of those weapons, he’s a Mr. Kentucky candidate who had just about 1350 all purpose yards, & 22 TD’s while sharing the rock with 3+ other backs last season. Also, 3 star Saftey Jalen Dantzler joins the secondary with JuJu Harmon, Timmy Emongo and Asher Brewer. Hard to find a secondary in Kentucky better. The revamped Special teams with transfer kicker Logan Harris is going to be the biggest upgrade. During the red vs white scrimmage, he nailed a 45 yarder that would have been good from 55 (no tee) and his kickoffs are 5 yards into the end zone. Scott County looks special. What are some thoughts or expectations for this game?

By this time next year he could have offers from all over America. The potential is there, he now has to translate the weight room success to the field!
