Big scrimmage tomorrow night. Highlands will host Ryle. Will Highlands keep steam rolling? Will Ryle rebound from the Beechwood scrimmage or get steam rolled again? This should be a good scrimmage for both teams.

This will probably be a one sided scrimmage in Highlands favor. Birds are looking like a well oiled machine for this early in the season.

Based on the week one scrimmages I agree.

A couple of notes on this scrimmage and what I want to see from the Birds. First, the QBs are usually no touch in this scrimmage each year and cannot run the ball. I believe QB runs will be back as a big weapon in the HHS offense this season. Let's see if Bryce Armstrong (fresh off of his 1st FBS Offer from Tulane) and the revamped O Line continue to progress. Keep an eye on Caleb Atkins. He is a 6'4 280 lb. Sophomore who has really come on strong at Center and will help anchor the middle of the line.

It will be good to see the D Line play vs. a good sized O line. Lorenzen, G. Benke and C. Benke were dominant on the D Line vs. Male. Hopefully, Kaden Sturdevant, a 6'4 275lb. Junior D Tackle is back from an illness that kept him out of the Male Scrimmage. Adding him into that 4 man front is going to be fun to watch. Want to see the young LBs continue their solid play. Sophomore Nick Stojkovic improves with each rep and Jimi Cox was making plays vs. Male as he looks to take the leadership role in the LB room as a Junior with significant playing time under his belt. Safety Gabe Williams was the star in the secondary vs. Male and will continue to star this season and we are hoping for a healthy full season for Gabe. John Feldbruegge and Chase Jacobs have really become nice Corners entering their senior season. Michael Tincher seems to the leader in the clubhouse for the 2nd safety spot with Futscher, Simon and Sharp all making their cases for the spot.

As always, we hope both teams get good work in and stay healthy. Also, it looks like we will be dodging some weather Tuesday evening so need some help from Mother Nature! Go Birds!

Bluebirds by however many they can get before JV goes in. Purely based off of last week’s results.

Always a good scrimmage , I just don’t think you’ll see very much of either teams ones in this scrimmage. Maybe a quarter and a few drives following before the two’s start phasing in. Quarterbacks have never been live in the past in this one.

I don't think the Film and Broadcast team is ready quite yet. I do not think there will be any live stream unless the Hudl cam is activated.

Don't disagree but with school not in session until 8/18 it becomes a challenge since the entire production is student led. They may have the Hudl cam live so you can view but we have not been given that info.
