When did Coach Wise take over at Ludlow? Was it after Randy Reese in the 70's?

Grew up with Nick, graduated with him. Great guy and he was on staff last year.

Is there anybody who would have interest for this job? Any current assistant that could step in? I feel bad for Trimble Co. considering their struggles for the past few years.

Should be noted that the NCC game is a home game for Newport. Also, Newport has dropped their scrimmage against Bracken County and picked up Reading High School (OH) instead.

A lot of talent returning, this could be the year they snap the streak against NCC.

We had Taylor County last year come in to play us. Their players and coaches kept talking about how awesome the stadium was and the scenery. It is a great place to catch a game on a Friday night!

Woody is currently retired from teaching as he retired the week of Thanksgiving. I would be very curious to see who would apply.

The '96 Dayton team had a chance to go to state had they beat Beechwood in the regional finals. A lot of talent on that team.

This is just a formality. I just saw Coach this past Saturday. He will still be the head coach at Ludlow.

I was going to mention this team! A really good Ludlow team. I remember being in Elementary and they would have the players assigned to a class to go talk to on the school day of the homecoming game. Great memories and a great idea that I would love to see some schools do.

2025 saw the wildcats return to the regional finals for a second time in two seasons, in a rematch with The KCD Bearcats. The wildcats had a successful season with Kendall Buck-Barber carrying the load at running back. They were led at QB by Kay Sharp for most of the season until Sharp made the switch back to WR and Jayden Conley took over at QB. The future looks bright. The Wildcats loose their top rusher, but return a bunch of starters. Is there any potential candidates for Gallatin? The new turf field is nice and I heard the renovated their weight room. Is there any possible takers heading to Warsaw?

Trimnell is a good coach and did a great job this past season with Bellevue's defense.

Adam Heidrich calls the defense at Newport. Wiggins calls the offense.

I can assure, it is not Adam Heidrich. I have my sources.

I'm bias being a dolphins fan, so give me the phins by 3. Of course though, I can see both teams finding a way to lose

I am biased in saying this one, but Ludlow's James Rigney Stadium has to be one of my favorite atmospheres. I'm not 100% sure on the capacity, but being a coach for many visiting teams that have played there, it gets loud and the fans let you know that you're in the panther's backyard. Being a player and getting to play there, was an amazing experience.

Gary McPeek is the new head coach of Eminence. The school announced it via Facebook.

For 1A it feels like the usual suspects. Raceland, Campbellsville, and Sayre. KCD graduates a lot, Hazard could have been a dark horse if not for all the extra drama. Newport has a chance to be good. They lose their top rusher, but return almost everybody on offense and a lot on defense. I would keep my eyes on the wildcats, they might turn some heads this year.

Any word on this job? I'm very curious to see what direction Frankfort goes in.
