I think Mercer is in for a very down year. This one isn’t going to be close. Campbellsville by 14

I expect the Danville game to be extremely competitive. Especially if Danville gets another win or 2 leading into it.

Has to be a top 3 game of the week? Hard to find a better Week 1 game

I think Russell County wins by 3+ scores. Will be a long year for Adair (but Coach Cross can build it over time!)

Very strong point about his ability to win where it’s not easy. Casey County went 0-11 this past season. Adair County was 3-7 in 2022 (year prior to Stonebraker arriving) I expect Danville to be at least 5-5 in the regular season, with a chance for more in certain games. The future should be very bright for the Ads.

Any word on how the summer has went for Danville? Heard numbers are improved. Who ended up joining Stonebraker on staff? And who will be the quarterback this season?

Saw the facility plan online, and it looks to be extremely impressive. With surrounding schools making such large investments to their facilities like Garrard, Lincoln, Casey, Danville, and Mercer (new stadium in the works) it seems like either invest in new facilities, or lose student athletes to schools that are. Somerset making the correct investments! Well done!

Coach Cole is one of the good guys. Hard to find a better man to talk ball with. Had done a phenomenal job with Grant County all things considered.

See this more times than not. Not enough "flash" for the kids to post on social media, and not enough stats for the parents to brag about with their work buddies. Seriously though, not every team can go spread, and not every team can line up and run the wing-t. Whichever helps the team WIN should be priority..but anyway.

Imagine recent issues with the school system will make the application pool very limited.

Probably already mentioned here, but I wish that Week 1 games would start during the first full week of September. (I also wish school districts did this as well) Scrimmages in the first of August seem early. I’d also extend dead period another week. (Which would work perfectly in this scenario)

The Golden Lions made a big jump in 2024. I think they lose some star power due to graduation, so questions remain for 2025. They will be physical, strong, and well coached. With a district of Lexington Catholic, Bardstown, Mercer and Casey County, earning a 3 seed would be a great accomplishment in 2025. Still expect a winning season for the Lions.

This job opened late February correct? Or early March? I expect the hire will be made before the month's end.

I'm hearing Trenton Fields, Winston Guy, and a 3rd (did not get the name here). I do not personally see the first two options as being the next coach, but that's a wild guess. I still think this is a very attractive job.

Continue to hear Trenton Fields on this one, but that could be a false flag. I am also curious about David Buchanan? Was interested during the last hiring correct? Both would be phenomenal hires for Lexington Catholic.

I thought there was a connection between the two sides. Fields had a very solid 1st season this year with the Jags, would be a good hire for Catholic.

Haven't seen this name in a while, but Josh Jaggers? Been in the business for a while now, assume he has some old ties to the area? Won a region with Larue in 2018. Would think the talent pool will be higher at Central.
