I get it. It's on both to enforce. In the 3 years my kid has been playing varsity football, I've seen it enforced a total of 1 time.

High school kids do to. I just look at the high school photos people post on SM and just laugh. Clearly it's a rule very few official enforce.

Pretty sure he lives in the Taylor Mill area. I believe his kids participate in the TM Eagles organization. Still not "just around the corner" from Maysville. LOL

I'd imagine if Windy is reporting it, that it is probably true. He is Lebrons main puppet in the media.

Something to take into account would be: How many 3rd/4th quarters did Johnson & Cusick get on the field? Pretty impressive stats coming from Harris & Weaver being on the same team. Not often you see 2 teammates putting those up.

That's probably the case. NFL seems to like white jerseys on one of the teams. I am going to have to check out the all orange, all baby blue when I get home on Madden though. LOL

They are working their way in that direction in football. With 4 teams the 5th team is unhappy. With the new 12 team format, isn't the 13th team going to be unhappy? And just using the latest bracket that was just put out, that 13th team is Georgia. And without going real far out on a limb, I'd give them a chance to beat any of the other 12 in the bracket.

If they are going to expand anymore, then they might as well get rid of the conference tournaments and just have 1 big tournament. Four 90 team "regions" only adds 2 more rounds and 1 round of "play-in" games.

I'm curious as to how their "point" system works. Clearly some are going to be upset, as I'm sure they scheduled to maximize "points" & then in August, per the article, teams got moved down lessening the "point" value. August doesn't seem to be great timing to be moving teams around.

What about a system similar to college footballs FBS/FCS designation? You could have 2 sets of 4 or 6 classes competing.

Agreed! Football in its true sense, is probably the most difficult sport to stay active in after high school in some form. You can find pickup basketball games. Lot of baseball players either play in adult leagues or transition over to slowpitch softball. Golf, Tennis, Volleyball, you can continue to play.

What if you could do both make the playoffs competitive & get more teams in the playoff? Go to a system similar to the NCAA FBS/FCS. You could have 2 sets of 4 classes. Not in any way saying its the perfect solution or you wouldn't have blowouts.

Tough to "surprise" people when they are being talked about as 1 of the Top 3 teams in the region. Unless you are talking about a different surprise.

I can't find where anyone as posted that it's not a rule or not in the rule book. But mainly that it isn't enforced 99% of the time.

100% agree. I know mine wears his but it doesn't have a strap. It's what he prefers from his karate sparring days.

If people really want it to stop, then the refs must enforce it. We all know kids don't listen to coaches (or parents) about everything. LOL Same with carrying in basketball. Fastest way for it to go away, refs call it every time. Kids will adjust
