Some really good Mexican restaurants, bourbon house pizza is top notch, blind squirrel has a little of everything, deweys pizza next to a brewery and graeters is a really good trio. Really depends on what you're looking for and how fat you're trying to be. Personally I prefer twin peaks on football friday. Beer is really cold and food is great. Blind squirrel would be #1 for atmosphere. Bourbon House is great pizza and hogeys and they have pasta dishes as well. Lita's tacos is a solid Mexican option.

By my count Cooper lost 3 defensive assistant coaches from last year and at least 1 offensive assistant coach as well. One was lost to retirement, 2 to work/family conflicts, and 1 was a mutual parting of ways. Borchers has found coaches to replace those lost. The jags will be fine. Also, rooting for Coach Hendrix. He was one of my favorites on the Cooper staff. Big, big fan.

West backers blitzed, east backers blitzed. Neither side was unbalanced in the scheme they employed. The west defensive front was able to get consistent pressure, the east defensive front was not able to. While there weren't a ton of scholarship players playing this game, there were some. You're never gonna capture the best of the best with this type of game because the best of the best are already enrolled in college for the spring semester in many cases. Ohio all star games suffer from the same deal. That doesn't take away from the guys that did play. Just enjoy it for what it is. Their last game as a high school athlete. For many, the last game of their career.

A large portion of Cooper's projected starters were in spring sports and missed all of spring practice. I expect them to have more 2 way players this year than in the recent past, but they should be very good again.

Hopefully they don't lose the returning boys basketball talent they do have.

I was at Cooper this past year as a volunteer assistant coach. The picture being painted isn't an accurate one. Did the coach yell at times? Yes. Was it intended to break someone down and humiliate them? Absolutely not. Have I ever yelled at kids to get my point across? Yes. Coach Borchers, in my experience, cares about the kids he coaches. He certainly didn't treat Mason with the type of disdain that his dad portrays in my time there. Mason was a team captain, a defensive and special teams animal. He was a leader, and a great kid. I will never speak ill of that young man. He was the type of kid you want on your team, no question. As a former head coach, I would never want this type of accusation being thrown around. Randy has been at Cooper for 17 years. It stands to reason that over those 17 years there are a group of people that have a strong dislike for the man. I was a head coach for 4 years and I know of at least 10 families that hate my guts because they thought their son was better than I allowed him to be. Its part of the gig. Every person that has ever been a head coach of any sport at the high school varsity level knows that.

I graduated from HS in 1999. I started coaching football in 2005 at that same HS. In 2018 I was named the head coach of that HS. In the spring of 2022 I resigned from that position so that my kids could stop being held back by my dreams. In the 4 years I was the head coach, our team went to the OHSAA playoffs 4 times. Something no other coach at that school had ever done. In those four seasons, our conference record was 17-2. We won games. Many of the kids I coached were children of the people with which I graduated high school. The town loved its football, but the school and its offerings were not improving at the same rate. Eventually I had to choose between what I wanted for me, and what I wanted for my kids. As a guy that dedicated 17 years to his alma mater, I can honestly say that it is definitely worth the trouble. I wish the circumstances that caused me to leave had been different, because I'd still be there. Having said that, my sons have definitely benefitted from being in the Cooper district far more than they would have where we came from. My wife and I made the right choice for them, and that's what matters to us.

Caved to the pressure.

Anderson was in the D2 state championship this past year in Ohio. Ohio's second largest division. They're a very good program just east of Cincinnati. They did just graduate their QB and a few others, but they have a bunch of very good players coming back. They run a fast paced, no-huddle attack. They beat South Oldham last year early in the season. The game was not close. I wanna say something in the neighborhood of 55-7.

They will be battle tested come playoff time. That's for sure.

All of that being true, it wasn't a slight or a knock at Delaware, D1 FCS or D1 non G5 or non p4, is down a level from where this same kid would have ended up 10 years ago. Respectfully. I've been to games at Murray St(they played NDSU), Duke(played ND), Miami (OH) in the last 14 months. The differences in those three games alone represent levels. All great football, all great schools, all at different levels. Its not a knock, its just a fact.

I'm not suprised at all. With the transfer portal, NIL, and new 105 man roster limit in FBS this trend will continue. Most HS players will go a level below where they would have gone 10 years ago. They'll do this so they can get on the field and get college game film and try to move up after the fact. This is the path that most have to go now. Welcome to the new NCAA football.

According to reports I'm hearing, he passed all tests with the team doc Saturday but went in to be sure today.

Lol. Its possible. They have a whole bunch returning and Cooper is losing a strong senior class. Since the game will be I believe week 4, I'd say there's a solid chance they're still trying to figure themselves out. Either way, nothing they can do next year will take away the fact that Cooper put em on the clock in the state semi final game in 2024. That, will forever be a fact.

Haven't heard from you in a while. Not surprised you're here though. If you say Cooper is gonna lose every week, eventually you'll be right. Just took 15 weeks this year. Congrats.

HOW DARE YOU!!! ?

Olentangy had 3 players that stood out to me on offense. Their qb made really good decisions, #3 their WR was clearly better than any db on moeller, and #21 their rb was a beast and also had 4 catches for 72 yards. Olentangy's defense overall was impressive. didn't miss many tackles, solid in their coverage, and stout vs the run. I was very impressed with their team as a whole. Moeller killed themselves with penalties all night.

Marion Local is on like a 64 game win streak. 108 boys in their school, 61 play football. They're the best small school program in the state, and its not close.

Nobody said he was gonna leave Moeller for Highlands. From what I gather, he interviewed for the HC job at Highlands prior to getting the Moeller job and Highlands said no because he had no head coaching experience.

Computers and rankings don't mean a whole lot when it comes down to it. I don't know anybody at Cooper that would say Cooper is a STRONG favorite. This game is going to come down to turnovers, defense, and containing the QBs. The team that does those better, wins.

They're not even close to the level of talent at Moeller.

Its all good. Nobody at Cooper cares how anyone else thinks. 1-0 is the goal every week. So far, the team has done the job 14 times. Next Saturday they go for 15 and the chance to be the 1st ever state championship team from Randall K Cooper high school. Injuries are a part of football. Lord knows Cooper has had their fair share. I wish Williams a speedy recovery as he is a very good player for the birds. Hopefully Rio gets his knee taken care of too. Kid battled all night. One tough young man.
