Back to this game: Any way you slice it, a school like MoCo should always beat a team like Paris in football. You may have the upset every now and then but not a 27 point beat down.

Reports today the Reds have looked into Justin Verlander and Eduardo Rodriguez as starting pitcher help.

Bell Is in year 5 with one playoff appearance in a shortened 2020 season and in a tight race for one this season. His contract is up after this year and hasn’t been renewed. Do you extend him or take your chance on someone else with the young core?

Last night showed Krall needs to deal for bullpen help now. Don’t wait until the deadline.

Very little chance they move him at the deadline. They’ll move him in the off-season to shore up the rotation or bullpen. if I’m the Reds, I’m seeing what it takes to get Josh Hader from the Padres.

Don’t forget they also have a top 20 prospect in AAA that plays the infield as well. India is going to the odd man out either now or in the offseason.

To me the biggest need is a left handed reliever. They only have one and can’t rely on him every night. I would be looking at the pen and then a starter who won’t break the bank. Greene and Lodolo due back in August.

I see them parting with guys they won’t return next season (Barrero, Senzel, and Newman) to return either a starter or high end reliever.

Figured it would be a good place to track deals and rumors as the deadline is coming in 3 weeks. Reds will be buyers for the first time in a while.

Reds played like a team who knew they were in 1st and ready for the break.

If they can keep close in the Central or even lead… They will get Lively back this week, Greene and Lodolo back early August. Gotta think they’ll add some pitching before the deadline.
