  1. The longer you wait, the more coaches commit elsewhere or lock down school jobs elsewhere. Plus you can start the process of getting to know the coach and implement the system. You prefer not to start that in June. A coach should know within a week or so if they want the job.
  2. You don’t always need to “move the needle” with your hire. That’s why you see young, capable coaches never get their opportunity and walk away. Sometimes the best hire isn’t the one with 700 wins or college experience. Sometimes it’s the coach who has been preparing for their opportunity or been at a smaller school and will run with it and develop a program for many years.
  3. He’s at Belfry now.
  4. This hire should resemble the one Montgomery just made. Someone not as “big” of a name but one that has a plan to develop the program and has some experience. Do they move quickly or wait it out?
  5. Who out of that would they hire? Waiting over 2 weeks to post it, you’d think they’ll move fast.
  6. It is confirmed. Parker Stewart is the coach.
  7. It is a forward thinking hire. Someone with big coaching and playing experience but a little inexperienced being a Head Coach.
  8. Reports coming out they are hiring Parker Stewart. Current Jackson County coach.
  9. Mays, Chris Evans from Model, and Wes Scarberry interviewed for this. Maybe more but that’s the info I was given.
  10. Win or lose, you can always be happy Reds Baseball is back.
  11. Happy Opening Day!
  12. This one looks to be former SC great Matt Walls.
  13. This job was all the talk at Rupp for the guy rumored to be getting the job.
  14. MoCo is going to have a lot of questions even when they hire the new coach. The rumors are out there of who they hiring but nothing set yet. I’d look for Jarvis and Sears to stay at least. Mason is likely going to need to hire someone not as big of a name or with a bunch of experience. They need someone who will bring the energy and plan to build it up. Nobody big is going to step in with the talent level and expectations right now.
  15. Does this mean Coach High doesn’t want the job?
  16. Job was posted today.
  17. I’m going to assume if Mason is looking outside for their hire, you will probably see one of their assistants go for this. Maybe even Brian Kirk.
  18. I can tell you without a doubt that Sparrow is interested and applied.
  19. Either taking their time with hosting the region or going through back channels of candidates before a formality posting.
  20. Any movement or word on this? This is a historical job so I would think there would be some good candidates.
  21. GRC had a great game plan. MoCo showed a lot to win that district title.
