Is the system going to live up to the hype or has it weakened?

What time should we be expecting the main event and with the sun poking out, how bad does it look?

Was just watching Chris Bailey live report and he showed how WKY already has storms firing up which shows how the atmosphere is.

My best guess is this will be Elsbernd’s job. He will be the applicant with the most experience and also coached on a state title Holmes team. Don’t overthink it.

I wrote this in the other thread as well but if Powell is willing to get rid of an alum after back to back district titles… Who would want to step into this?

This could be a good job but they haven't had too much success for a little bit. Some district titles but never really in region contention. This seems like a job for a younger coach with energy that will build it up.

They graduate a lot from this years team.

Coach Perkins has resigned.

Today will be very telling on Cal. Him and Mitch are meeting at some point today and KSR is having someone come on who will not paint Cal in a good light. If this is the end for Cal, my list would be Jay Wright, Shaka Smart, and Tommy Lloyd.

Matt Jones held a space where he said that have been surprised by how many higher ups and donors want a change. He tried to get a big NIL donor to come on but couldn’t and will be on the show tomorrow. That guy is going to say how much money Cal is costing the players by not allowing them to do certain deals and shutting it down. I just feel with all that coming out and how Mitch is going to make Cal give up full control, that he will leave.

If you didn’t get to listen to KSR yesterday, Matt Jones basically said what he’s been holding in for years. Some highlights: * Cal and Mitch have no relationship. *People in the athletic department are scared of Cal because of how he goes off on people and wants things only his way. * They have basically made the basketball program on an island from the rest of athletics and the university. * Cal has no relationship with the biggest UK donors and media members. * Cal acts like the program began when he got here and nothing mattered before that. If all of that is true, and he is losing the way he is. Then it is time for a split and if the split occurs, you will see the program make a massive change for the better with things off the floor as well.

Personally I love Nate Oats. His style of play and swagger are perfect for Kentucky but with his past, I doubt Mitch considers him. If Cal is gone, expect Scott Drew.

Pearl would crawl to Lexington for the job. I’ll throw another one out there, Shaka Smart.

Going to be a dandy I think. GC wants to press but Lyon has a ton of guard talent and can break it. Difference will be if Lyon can handle the size of Crossing.
