Just think if Boyle didn’t block two extra points. Just think if Corbin had stopped Boyle before. Quit blaming it on that play.

Agreed I just shook my head every time Boyle would shift to overload and Cov Cath did the same thing.

I watched the Johnson central game online, I knew Boyle would run on CovCath. Astonishing how little resistance they had against the run those two games.

Note…they only lose two of these guys. The right tackle was out and 66 filled in for him a lot and is only a sophomore. The big loss will be 73 a four year starter. Glad to see for next year 3 of these guys are back!

#13 Jax Crowe is a difference maker. He was out last year with an injury when they played CovCath. It was apparent last night he was on the field and making a lot of plays. I have watched this Boyle team all year and I feel after the LexCath game they went to their strength…. Running the ball. Their line is dominate and it showed again. Boyles defense is really good I felt they would hold their own and they did. As for the sportsmanship of Boyle and its coaches I am not real sure where people get this. It was a hard fought game and emotions on Boyles side were high because of the game last year. I would be interested to see what the coaches disagreed about at the end of the game.

It is real when a team doesn’t have the intensity to play. Hats off the Lexcath they had it that game.

Boyle lost their starting quarterback and played without a few offensive starters. Also played pretty flat, all was recipe for big upset.

That was Boyles sophomore quarterbacks first start their offense has gotten better every week and the defense as well. I like Boyle in a tight one and revenge after last years game.

Why no stats against Boyle??

Also a note, Boyle didn’t even have a QB. Played a wr at QB. Starter was injured.

I will say this, the last time I saw so many people pick Boyle opponent it was last year against St Edward’s. That game came out in Boyles favor and not just by a score. I think a motivated Boyle team will squeak one out.

I said this after the Highlands game. Not in the same regards but it looks to me as if this Boyle team is built to run the ball and run play action and screens off of it. #2 played well against Ballard not many mistakes at all. He hit who he needed to hit and let them do the work. should be a really good game. I am interested to see where the score lands because if Boyle was to win by a touchdown or more what does that say about them at this point. Vice versa if X wins by more than a td what does that say about each team.

You are correct safety is out. Other than the qb they should be healthy.

Sorry two lineman, Yocum and Goodman who hasn’t played this year but due back this week and Borders Coffman their starting MLB. The bye week was big for Boyle to get healthier.

I know people want to look at Boyles Lex Cath game and compare but when you start the game with three plus offensive starters out then lose you starting QB of two years early that’s not in anyone’s game plan. Haddix and company now are getting healthy outside of a few. They will have all their lineman for the first time this year. For me changing from a balanced to a power run game in the highlands game makes a difference. Their defense is solid. I think we may see a much improved team from highlands this week. Boyle 35-10

Big thing for Boyle is who plays. Looked like last week they were dealing with multiple starters out. Two lineman and middle backer and QB went out of the game with injury. Not sure who will be out but missing that many starters hurts. Hopefully we see majority of them back to make this a game.

Turn to a disciplined coach that’s a winner. I have watched a lot of Danville football and one thing that has been lost is the discipline. At any level of football your best teams are disciplined. There is talent coming but if you don’t get in and change the losing culture and undisciplined play you’re not going to get a winner. As I said before winning will keep kids at Danville, old style Danville will attract kids. I hope they make the right choice. I have seen names put out there, I’ll be interested where they go. There are a few names to me they may need to stay clear of but that’s my opinion

If a change isn’t made at Danville I look for more transfers out. Younger talent will be elsewhere. Very disappointing year, no sign of progress with the coaching staff. Honestly if it was my call not sure the head coach wouldn’t have been fired walking off the field.

Something has to change at Danville. There is some promise coming up from middle school and beyond but the problem is the current staff has shown no ability to win. I know there’s the talk of kids transferring out but in today’s society kids want to win. They will go play for winners no matter the cost. Being able to be put on a different stage with winners just feels different. I feel for the current players, but the administration has to take a hard look at the coaches and see that a change has to be made. Danville once a football powerhouse is now a doormat.

Kids want to win. They are going to go where they will win. That’s just the reality. I hate that Danville loses kids but to me as a fan of the Ads they accepted mediocrity a few years ago and this is the result. Not saying the current administration has and that the players have because I know they are giving their time and effort. I just see a trend if there isn’t a change their talent will keep going elsewhere. This is a perfect example of a good hire, Rogers has already in three games turned Lincoln around. Kudos to Lincoln, now Danville needs to play the right cards and get that program back to where it belongs.

As a former student and player at DHS it hasn’t been the same in years. I honestly hear after year grow more disappointed in the school system. I look at what’s gone on there the last few years and just wonder that it all can happen. Clevenger had brought the program back, youth football was getting number back up the future was bright. Since he was let go I have questioned it all and talked to a lot of people. The one thing I have noticed is that a lot of former Danville players who had their kids in the Danville system have their kids across town. Why? Because the whole system is better. Academics and athletics across town are far superior and you don’t see or hear of the school board messing things up. I hate that it looks like Danville is about to make another bad decision, hopefully for the former players that take pride in being an Admiral it’s not another decision that ruins the program and tradition
