I chose CovCath because I have seen them in person. They are extremely fast. That being said I feel like Highlands can certainly win this one. I’ve only seen them play Ryle, but they have the athletes to match up with the Colonels in my opinion. Lorenzen and Rickard down low are a formidable foe for CC.

People talk that's all I can say. I don't reach out to anyone for scoop, or even ask when I'm around people. Any info I've ever received has been told to me by someone else. I’d like to think, while there has always been long term coaches (Mr Schneider) that people loved/tolerated. The players of those coaches are part of the microwave society that wants results in the first season.

As far as who will coach and people knew this was going to be his last season. I was told by someone the Sunday before Halloween that if this was coach Lickerts last season that Sam Hubbard had interest in the job. Well you could imagine my face when I was told that. So you can see how rumor mills can work. Sam Hubbard? Moeller, Ohio State, and the Bengals? I’ll believe that when I see it in what I said.

I was told he told the players had his son chose to attend NCC he would’ve had 4 more years to coach. In what capacity I don’t know.

I’ve been told they had an awesome summer as well. I wasn’t there for that so I’m not sure. I just know, that when they do get stops on defense they generally turn the ball over or fail to score on that possession. They certainly don’t swing the ball fast enough if they’re trying to find an open 3.

So who is most at fault here? It lists UPS, GE and Boeing. We've all heard of the troubles Boeing has had via whistle blowers.

To put it mildly. The lack of effort on defense was glaringly obvious. The whole offense is predicated on shooting 3s but when you can't get an open look and don't set screens to get open looks it's not going to work. Beechwood attacked the rim on missed shots and on cuts to the basket. Lack of rebounding ability by the Breds has been an issue all season and it reared it's ugly head again last night. The Tigers were all over the boards, flying around. I don't understand running the same offense that can't create offense against more talented teams. The scouting report on NewCath is play a 2-3 zone or loose man to man. Beechwood vs Holy Cross should be a doozy.

The current administration has done an outstanding job, laying out a future plan, acting on it and accomplishing it. You don’t lay out a plan for a complete remodel/upgrade of the school, a new athletic complex that people have wanted since 1955, and have it almost completely funded by donors if you didn’t have a good outlook on the future of the school. I’ve heard from multiple families about how their child is almost a different person, in a positive way, since they enrolled at NewCath. Smalls schools have there advantages and certainly disadvantages. In my experience at NewCath it was always a welcoming environment, an encouraging one. Not a “get them in the door, get them out the door and repeat” atmosphere that bigger schools can get caught up in.

Why that would be welcomed news, I haven’t heard anything yet.

The RPI punishes small schools like NewCath for playing and losing to bigger schools. Yes it would benefit to win those games, but they should play an easier schedule to avoid traveling every year in the 3rd round.

Dixie is a tough team. Curious as how this one went.

If They make the tournament it’ll be last four in or a high seed like 12. Injuries to the studs and seemingly no development of the rest of the roster.
