  1. Always look forward to your take on all things Brossart. Regardless of what happens on Friday night, Brossart is absolutely blessed to have you in their corner!
  2. While I wouldn’t put that entirely on Brossart, the new Brossart athletic complex (MAC) certainly enticed families giving both schools consideration. Now with NCC getting their own football/soccer/track facilities, that will level that playing field so to speak. At the end of the day, these two schools compete in every facet of the High School experience, except football. They now have that chance this Friday.
  3. Both sides will be ready to play. Regardless the outcome, I am glad these teams are facing off. It's good for 1A in NKY. Two teams that should be playing every year due to both having successful seasons recently.
  4. Too close for me to call. This should be a good game.
  5. I think it matters more what NCC team comes to play. Look at mutual opponents rather than Paris and Ludlow (two teams NewCath didn’t play) LLoyd handled Brossart 44-16 NCC handled Lloyd 27-14 both teams beat Walton NCC had running clock in 2nd qtr on Walton Brossart beat Bellevue in a relatively close game where NewCath could have scored 100 on Bellevue but obviously would never. Running clock in second qtr. obviously the game has to be played and who knows what happens, but a running clock is not out of the question and certainly not what I would consider a “good game”
  6. I think they started around 2007 (don’t hold me to that) What would be considered a “good” game in your opinion? Is a game ever considered good when the clock is running?
  7. Both teams advance into week 2. NewCath coming off their 5th week of running clock football taking on a Bishop Brossart team who seemed to take care of Bellevue in the second half with a final of 39-12. These two schools compete in every sport but football every year. Both sides seem eager to see this game happen. Expect a decent crowd at Dixie. Who you taking and leave a comment why.
  8. This would be a huge win if Bellevue can knock off Brossart. With NewCath playing last night, I expect some NewCath players/coaches/fans in attendance for this one to see who they get in round 2.
  9. Hey Mustang, What do you think of Brossart’s chances getting past Bellevue next week?
  10. Bellevue takes on NewCath this Thursday at Dixie. NewCath coming off handling Dayton acheiving a running clock with just under 4 min left in the first quarter, while Bellevue lost to Newport 39-12. Gonna be tough for Bellevue to keep this one close. NewCath does whatever it wants in this one. Who ya taking?
  11. The reason: Brossart admin wants absolutely no part of that on their schedule. The draw to that game would be the biggest in Campbell Co, regardless of Highlands or the Camels schedule. They compete in every other sport but Football. How long has Brossart had a football team? I know they used to play each other.
  12. NewCath comes off easy work of rival Newport and heads to Dayton to take on the Green Devils as they are coming off a loss to rival Bellevue in the battle for the paddle. Dayton will have their work cut out for them to keep it close. Running clock seems likely, just a matter of which quarter.
  13. No one with half a brain is deceived by Pikeville's record. They legit, and until someone in 1A figures out how to beat them they are still in a class by themselves IMO. No matter how many Taylor Co transfers C-Ville took in this past offseason....
  14. I believe Lloyd wins by at least two scores in this matchup. Too much for Newport.
  15. Hard to talk when both teams coming off a loss. Highlands Raceland game was much closer than score shows. NCC doesn’t turn the ball over they beat CC by two scores. Hopefully NCC can get some to work in their favor this week.
  16. The athletic culture at NCC is very different than Campbell Co. With all the enhancements and vision up at NCC, If you’re a parent of a multi sport kid in Campbell Co, you’d be a fool not to at least look into NCC.
  17. Not surprised at all. Connor is rolling and good for them. They got some dudes.
  18. Big 1A battle that will have a lot of eyes on this game. Raceland traveling right back up to NKY after their 35-0 loss to 5A powerhouse Highlands, while NCC came up short against 6A Campbell Co in a 29-28 loss that came down to a failed 2pt conversion with under 40 seconds left in the game. Who you taking?
  19. Yes! It certainly shakes out. But…it sure is fun trying to figure it out in the meantime. As for CVille schedule, the kids have no control and the coaches have no control over opponents talent swings.. travel budgets also need considered. NCC has always played larger local schools early. Will be interesting to see schedule next year.
  20. Gonna be a good test, especially upfront. NewCath is on a roll. NewCath will have to play well to win.
  21. Imo, Pikeville is still #1 until someone beats them from 1A. By no means am I am expert on RPI, but how bad will those losses hurt Pikeville when RPI starts to matter?
  22. Connor (2-1) makes the trek to CovCath to take on NewCath (3-0) 7pm this Friday. Both teams put on dominating performances last week. Connor got the best of NCC last year 38-17. New season. Who ya got? Should be a good game!
