Newport survived last week in an early cross district matchup against Ludlow 32-30 to remain unbeaten at move to 4-0 on the season. This week they looks to try to stay undefeated as they play on the road at Lloyd Memorial. Lloyd sits at 4-1 on the season with its only blemish against Newport Central Catholic the first game of the season 27-14.

Lloyd Memorial since losing its first game as been on a roll. Since they have been averaging over 40 points per game, and giving up close to 9 points per game. Newport is averaging close to 30 points per game, and giving up 16 points per game. 
 

Who wins this matchup? Does Newport upset Lloyd at home? Does Lloyd Memorial extend its winning to 5 games?

If I didn’t have plans for going to another game I would possibly come to this one. I believe Newport can win but I believe Lloyd is the favorite. Good luck to both teams.

    Heart says and hopes Newport.  Got to love them finally getting a 1st class facility to call home.  Unfortunately this game is in Erlanger and my head says the Juggs by 20.

    With Newport coming in with a four game win streak I would imagine they’re on a nice high right now. I have a feeling they’re gonna give Lloyd some fits tonight. Lloyd pulls it out in the second half and wins 35-14.

    After that first turnover and score to go down 6-0, that was an impressive drive by Newport to take the lead.
