Both teams advance into week 2. NewCath coming off their 5th week of running clock football taking on a Bishop Brossart team who seemed to take care of Bellevue in the second half with a final of 39-12. These two schools compete in every sport but football every year. Both sides seem eager to see this game happen. Expect a decent crowd at Dixie. Who you taking and leave a comment why.

Always look forward to your take on all things Brossart. Regardless of what happens on Friday night, Brossart is absolutely blessed to have you in their corner!

Looking at scoreboard it shows that New Cath is 4-0 against Bishop Brossart. What year did Brossart start football?  This could be a good game.

I think they started around 2007 (don’t hold me to that) What would be considered a “good” game in your opinion? Is a game ever considered good when the clock is running?

So your prediction on this game is a running clock win for New Cath? Bishop Brossart has a solid win over Paris. But then Ludlow Destroys Bishop Brossart, and then Paris Destroys Ludlow.  The parity between those games are crazy. But the real question is which Bishop Brossart team shows up. I think if the team that played Paris shows up this will be an exciting game. But if the team that plays Ludlow shows up then you’re about spot on.

Brossart scores points and can move the ball utilizing a bunch of different guys. I expect NCC to win here but I don’t expect a running clock at all. NCC 28 - 24.

I agree with this, it depends on how Brossart comes to play. If they do, I could see a good game. If not, I could see NCC winning with a running clock. I think NCC wins but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a good game.

I think the longer Brossart stays in this one, the more their confidence will grow.

I think it matters more what NCC team comes to play. Look at mutual opponents rather than Paris and Ludlow (two teams NewCath didn’t play)

LLoyd handled Brossart 44-16

NCC handled Lloyd 27-14

both teams beat Walton

NCC had running clock in 2nd qtr on Walton

Brossart beat Bellevue in a relatively close game where NewCath could have scored 100 on Bellevue but obviously would never. Running clock in second qtr.

obviously the game has to be played and who knows what happens, but a running clock is not out of the question and certainly not what I would consider a “good game”

The Lloyd game most definitely favors New Cath for sure. Though I would like to think week 0/1 Lloyd would get beat by Week 5/6 Lloyd. But all in all I think this could be a good game, but I believe New Cath gets the win. I don’t believe it will be a running clock though.

Brossart has had a very good season, and this game needs to take place every year between these two. With that said, I would be surprised if this game is really that close. I'm not sure if it will get to running clock territory, but I also don’t think this game will ever be in doubt for NCC. I see a 21 to 28 win in favor of NCC.

I am rooting for Brossart in this one, as I do look for them to play inspired football for Coach O.

Pretty much how I’m thinking in terms of the outcome and I agree that they should be playing each other every season now.

That’s the main point being how long they can stay in it. If NCC gets going without being stopped earlier, that’s how Brossart will be in trouble.
