  1. Just saw this thread. Congrats to Coach Stonebreaker! Adair is getting a great football coach. Now for Casey County. I don't forsee Peach or Cross being interested. Peach made a statement when he resigned from Danville that he may take some time off, which is understandable. Cross has been with Stonebreaker for some time, there have already been a few Casey assistant coaches resign before this annoucement anyway. I'd say Casey will be starting completely fresh. All 3 of the assistant coaches listed earlier in the thread would make a really good hire at Casey. I can't say if any of the 3 would be interested or not, all 3 seem to be successful in their current roles. Who is the Middle School Coach at Casey County? Long time guy or is he new as well? Could be one route they go.
  2. If Stonebreaker is the guy here (as most of us are speculating) I guess another big question that we’ll have to debate: Who’s going to Casey County? That’ll be a interesting job. Most likely a program reset.
  3. Heard interviews would begin today. Not much word other than that.
  4. He’s all over the place. I think Somerset will go in a different direction and that Adair is top landing spot for Stonebreaker currently. It’s a good fit.
  5. Beginning to wonder if anyone is interested (I’m kidding) based off of the lack of conversation about this one.
  6. There are a lot. Well, there are a strong select of young coaches in Somerset and the surrounding few counties. At some point, programs need to look at the future. A job like Somerset could hire a first time head coach and with proper support, they would have success. With that said, I don’t necessarily see them doing that, but it wouldn’t be a bad scenario if they hired the right one.
  7. Stonebreaker is a big time hire, and Danville would be lucky to get him. Just not sure I see it.
  8. Met a friend for lunch today in Danville. There are some serious rumblings about this one. Potential hire has been made or is close. Time will tell..
  9. I can see Haddix moving to the college ranks if anything. Not sure there are many stronger high school jobs to pursue, but everyone is to their own. Greer retiring would make sense, especially after a strong finish. I hope he sticks around a little while longer myself.
  10. I don't know facts and will not pretend to. With that said, if Stonebreaker is interested, hire him today. Would be a HUGE hire for Somerset right now. Again, my speculation.
  11. I agree with this entire statement, and expect it to happen. Clevenger will not be a candidate here I do not believe.
  12. With the job being added to the district website, I think it is appropriate for us to begin discussing this job. While we all will remember the legacy of Coach Lucas, Somerset is now looking for its next Head Football Coach. Who gets this one?
  13. For this to be a traditional powerhouse program, the hiring process has been quiet.
  14. Somerset will be a interesting position as well.
  15. Another chat forum has listed Steve Stonebreaker as a candidate. Would be a really good hire, but he's still at Casey County coming off a big year, why would he leave?
  16. Right. His name was on some threads last season as well. His time is probably coming soon. He had a great season with the LC JV it looks like, been there for a while. I can see a school like Western Hills really giving a young assistant coach like him a phone call, if interested. As for Coach Parks, he is the current head coach at Berea. I think he has done a good job with that program. I don't see him coming to Danville, for what it's worth. But I'm not in "the know" as many appear to be.
  17. Obviously Clevenger would be the top option of these 3 names (respectfully). However, I would be highly shocked if Crutchfield or Cooper showed interest here. Maybe, but I wouldn't expect their names to really be thrown around much. I guess we never know!
  18. Generally speaking, is Clay even interested? Also, I would imagine this thread is only the beginning. I feel as if there will be a few other jobs in this area come open.
  19. Every single Lincoln/Corbin game has been competitive since they first began playing in 2019. Look up some of the previous scores. Friday won't be any different. Expecting an entertaining game here.
