  1. I don't see that being the case if Rogers or Cooper are hired. I think both will stay as long as they are allowed. That's what I'm being told.
  2. That's a great move by those two, I respect that a lot! I'm glad they did as well then.
  3. Potentially. My response to the administration: Why did you ask them to begin the off-season weight program? That's using people. That itself should throw a red flag to people considering the job.
  4. This is bad messaging. Especially to the kids. Both assistants are running the weight program and have yet to hear about the current job opening. Both are qualified coaches and could find other opportunities. So, Lincoln either needs to name one of them the HC, or, be up front with them so they can pursue what's best for them. This job hasn't been handled the same as others in surrounding counties.
  5. Regardless of what others say, nobody has any idea besides the administration. The speculation is getting bad, I will say that. I reach out to my friends in Stanford once a day and they don't have any answers right now.
  6. And if Foley doesn't keep Rogers or Cooper, then you're looking at a complete start over situation. I'm not saying Foley wouldn't keep them, as a matter of fact, both are proven coaches and I think it would be wise to keep both. Just my opinion. But if they both leave, then Lincoln Football will not look the same going forward as it has the last 4 years. For a team coming off a District Runner Up and a 6-6 record, it will be hard to justify starting over completely.
  7. I would agree with those two being in the hunt. I still think a few other candidates mentioned will have a opportunity. On Foley. Is this a hire that Stanford and the Lincoln community will rally around? He seems like a great man from what I hear. I never question that. I will question his departure from Frankfort. To be in a school for so long to be "terminated" is odd. Also, that's 1A Football. I think Foley provides a lot of questions. But could be a great hire!
  8. I'm not confident in Jaggers right now. I have heard conflicting reports about his interest levels. I think initially it was possible, but things have cooled off here.
  9. By the looks of it, I wouldn't be surprised 😂
  10. Craig Foley is linked to this job, but was fired yesterday? Extremely odd. He's a proven coach and a great man. But still, weird timing on the firing. Maybe he really is linked to the job at Lincoln more then realized.
  11. Lincoln went 5-4 in 2020 correct? Felt like they had a solid season during the covid year, but I may be mistaken here.
  12. 😳 I understand different circumstances factor into that, but I would maybe just leave that off his resume!
  13. This conversation is becoming very one sided. If Rogers is the guy, congratulations to him! I think there are a few other key voices that better be heard as well, but, the Administration will do what's best! I wish I more was more updated with this, but I'm currently not.
  14. This is what I'm being told as well. Kids are coming out each day to play for these guys. We will see! Maybe we're all wrong but at first glance, it doesn't appear that the administration plans on hiring either, and that will be a huge mistake.
  15. Rogers or Cooper, EITHER ONE, will be a hire that the community supports more than Foley or Jaggers. This is the message I constantly receive when I contact people associated with the program. This is not an insult nor a comparison of resumes, it's just the opinion I constantly receive. Cooper already teaches. He's not being discussed enough but he's been just as important to the rebuild as Rogers was. Regardless, either assistant needs to be the guy, or things for Lincoln Football go south. Just opinions I get, thought I would share.
  16. You can say Lincoln has officially interviewed these two?
  17. With workouts already starting under the direction of Rogers/Cooper (And I reached out, it is both.) I find it interesting neither has had an interview. And if they have, it is not well known. The job itself is still posted, which is now at 4 weeks. That seems longer than MOST jobs this season. Are they waiting out somebody? If not, then why has Rogers and Cooper not been interviewed? My point: Two assistant coaches who have applied and are qualified to coach are not being informed of any type of decision. I find that as bad communication from the administration. They either want one of these guys or they don't. Other schools this offseason have not handled business this way. Hires have been much quicker. With the Garrard job, Crutchfield was linked from the beginning, but Lincolns season had not even ended, he could not publicly say he was interviewing. This situation is much different, in my opinion. I'm interested to see if anything happens this week.
  18. I'd have to think Rogers and Cooper will be applying elsewhere is Lincoln doesn't act on them soon. Seems like the incorrect approach from the administration from who I've spoken with.
  19. If Lincoln has not started interviews yet, they are dropping the ball on this hire. While I haven't seen anything publicly, I would have to think by Lincoln waiting, it does not sound well for Rogers and Cooper. Can anybody better than me and with more sources provide any update? Schools seem to be hiring every day but Lincoln is in no hurry.
