A good up and coming coach along with one of the greatest in central KY. Seems like a good hire, now you have to start building. Hester will take care of the weight room if the players buy in. Patience over the next 3-4 years and construction of a consistent little league/MS program is needed.

That, by all means, would be expectations in the right direction.
-
And by "them," I mean Garrard.
-
I wish them the best. The worst thing that could happen is having too high of expectations.
-
Won a national title last season and played in the national semi-finals this season.
-
If everything on this page were true and some of the names that have been thrown out were true, GC would have one heck of a staff!!! Maybe the most combined wins/championships of any program ever! LOL

2021 KFCA Mr. Football Finalists
EagleRare20 replied to Tigerpride94's topic in KY Football (High School)
There is a case that can be made for all these players. Congrats to them!! -
If allowed, do you believe that South Warren wouldn't have taken 5th year kids that wanted to stay? I may be wrong but wasn't that a district decision not a coaching decision?
-
What leads you to believe that?
-
I would go: 1. St. X 2. Male 3. Boyle 4. South Warren 5. Beechwood 6. LCA 7. Trinity 8. Douglass 9. Mad Central 10. Johnson Central

2021 BluegrassPreps Mr. Football Watchlist (11/22)
EagleRare20 replied to DevilMayCare's topic in KY Football (High School)
As stated earlier, all players mentioned have a case but Jagger Gillis played QB and LB at a very high level. How many QB's in this thread also lined up and LB the entire football game? There isn't a throw this kid can't make and as a starter at Boyle is 2 for 2 in state championships. The title of the award is "Mr. Football," and Jagger isn't just a QB, he's an overall football player. -

After this weekend and the performances in the state games my favorite for Mr. Football is Jagger Gillis from Boyle. Kid is tough and can run/throw it anywhere on the field. Also starts and plays line backer, which you don’t see. Even played on the kick return team some -
I have no idea what the roster looks like or really who any of the kids are besides Quisenberry. There has been a lot of talk about getting a coach to compliment GC's athletes? Are there that many athletes? I would think it is hard to get your athletes the ball if you have no one to block for them. The issues in Garrard sound systemic, not centralized to a single HC.

Got it. I did not know how long it has been posted.

How long do you think it takes for a decision to be made?

2021 BluegrassPreps Mr. Football Watchlist (11/22)

Xavier Brown is the pick IMO. He's tough as nails and is an even better teammate. Off the field represents his family and school as good as anyone and would be a great representative as the states best player. -
To be championship caliber you need tradition, you need to have a productive youth league, and you have to have players that are bought in to the off-season. If you can't develop in the off-season/weight room, and there is no youth league as some of these posts have mentioned, you can have good teams but not championship teams.

I'm not sure what his plans are. I would assume with a coaching change it would keep him at Garrard, his family has deep roots there and if I'm not mistaken his dad was a great player for Garrard when he played. Wherever he ends up playing next year that team is keeping/getting a talent for sure.

Corbin vs. Johnson Central Predictions/Updates
EagleRare20 replied to DevilMayCare's topic in KY Football (High School)
Great third round battle. I think JC wins but would not be surprised either way. -
I don't think Perry was the answer but I'm not sure who will be the answer with the lack of administrative support. I don't think they are loaded with athletes but the Quisenberry kid is special, I'm afraid he will never get to maximize his abilities there.
