Chris Larkey really elevated the program. Prior to his arrival the Jaguars had posted three winnings seasons in seventeen years (and two of those records were 6-5). After two tough years to start, Larkey had winning records in seven of the next eleven years. The district is tough with Pulaski County and Southwestern and the enrollment numbers might put North Laurel in Class 6A in the next alignment. That said, a school that big in a growing community should be able to make the same leap from good to very good that Pulaski County and Southwestern have made over the last decade-plus.
