Don’t disagree with you, which goes back to some of the good conversations in the NKY coaching carousel thread. Harder to find applicants, the bar being dropped for “good hires”, But then again, Alex Shelton was a finalist for the Ludlow job last year and he was right around that same age, so maybe a young buck with a lot of time and energy to devout to the program and kids is what they need at Holy Cross. Again, I don’t know which Perrin was being discussed, but wouldn’t shock me if it’s the one you are referring to. The only other name mentioned was Adam Kozerski, and two of the “old timers” down at Goodtimers were not pleased with even the mention of that name.

Jr or Sr didn’t come up in the discussion, I would have to assume the young buck.

Does the name Perrin mean anything to anyone? I’ve heard it, believe it came up in the Scott thread the last couple times. Don’t know too much about him. Strictly Goodtimers chatter here, but apparently Derrick Barnes may have some influence in who they hire, and he’s “endorsed” Perrin.

Head coaches are certainly underpaid. Yes, no one does it for the money, but the job title is much more than just calling plays and timeouts on Friday nights. “A coach will impact more young people in a year than the average person does in a lifetime.”

I think we are, unfortunately. Good opportunity for new coaches, but the qualifications and what is considered a “good hire” will change.

Hey hey hey, settle down! It was just a question asked and answered. But If they were represented in the NKFCA, were eligible to play in the East vs. West all star game, and have representatives at Top 26 banquet, they would be. Again, they aren’t, so it’s a nonstarter.

As soon as I posted, I had the same question myself. Not sure if they are or not, I could be wrong but I don’t believe they are represented in the NKFCA, therefore I m assuming they are not considered NKY.
