My son, Grant Edwards, a JR would have been in that LB mix this year but blew his ACL in lacrosse in the spring and out all season. Losing all the other guys through the season has been devastating. Hard to get reps and experienced players on the field when people are getting knocked out for the entire year. All teams have injuries but we seem to be suffering the worst. One person goes down, they are usually moving someone from another position to fill in, who then has to learn the position.

I played under Coach Cronin (Head coach Donnelly) when he was o-line coach. Fantastic man of character! My father was on the search committee as a parent. Everything above is correct. GC pulled $ from Donnelly's summer camps, they let his wife's job go as Dean of Woman, and delayed the new football stadium. Donnelly left. Then the new president Crouch over rode the committee and hired his buddy Brush. He was a disaster! I wonder if they are considering Steve Hill who played line on first national champ team and on staff like 17 years.

What effect does the "inadvertent whistle" even matter when it was a fair catch? he cant advance the ball, he shouldn't drop the ball because of a whistle, this happened right in front of the Trinity fans and no one heard anything. The holding call was trash. These penalties always come on a momentum shift in the game. We never "hold" on a 3 yard run up the middle, its always on a fantastic play. We got sideline warnings but Ryle coach is out on the field with all 3 refs after he wanted a PI call. Next play is the hold. Then an unsportsmanlike penalty on our kicker making a 40 plus field goal and him jumping up and down? The reffs made sure there would be no running clock, and were very involved in the flow of the game.

First game, Trinity' s heads were swimming from all the losses. Then get first win against #10 in nation St. X of Cincy. Maybe went into the game cocky. Did not have Armon Tucker. Now, Armon's back, several position changes have been made, its do or die. Trinity wins but Ballard will attempt anything to get the big upset. Close game.

Yes, several start varsity for Eastern. The Eastern starting QB ankle injured in 2nd qtr. Backup ankle injured in 4th qtr and they hiked to the wildcat rest of game and he just ran. So we had a lot of changes to adjust too. Most of Eastern scores/progress was on special teams let downs. Several T players have ben pulled up to varsity. Both teams played with a lot of heart and was a good game. Great weather. Props to the Eagles. both QBs were ok by end of game.
