  1. FREDERICK Douglass wins 27-21 on the road in regulation. The OC has been playing possum all season and will call the game according to the strengths of the Broncos. Can't wait to pull into Marshall Stadium with all this optimism.
  2. ??. Just as an FYI, this started as a 1st and goal.
  3. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! GET JULIAN ON THE LINE!!!!!! LOL SERIOUSLY.
  4. Right guard caught two 15 yarders after the run for first, then the 1st down and goal at midfield, had another pair of unsportsmanlike fouls so then it was 2nd and maybe 75 lololololol.
  5. Might be a big ask in 40 degree temps, if that isn't something Barren typically does. And a quick 3 and out against GC likely won't be in the Trojans' best interests!
  6. Uh oh! Lol. Is that a feature controlled by someone with the team?
  7. Also, these are two teams with virtually no playoff experience between them (aside from the last two weeks), so the pressure on players and staff alike will play a key part in this game. Enter home field advantage.
  8. Keep in mind, the Warhawks thumped their in-town rival who runs that type of offense earlier this season. They are quite used to defending against that.
  9. Based off the RANKINGS, Central beating CAL would be the most likely upset. Yet, the earlier win by the Yellow Jackets was a home win, so now that they are on CAL's turf, in the cold, that could very well turn the tide. Can LexCath make the drive to Bell Co., and upset them? I really doubt it.
  10. Put this game as an **UPSET ALERT** before kickoff. YES, the Broncos got caught looking ahead to playing (who we all thought would be) Male, and trailed a nothing to lose GRC squad 0-14 in the 1st quarter... A GRC team that they had blanked only 3 weeks prior! Now comes Madison Central, who in the regular season actually lasted with Douglass til the last minute or so of the 4th quarter. Should that game have been that close? I don't think so. Yet, could Douglass be comfortable being at home, assume they have Central figured out, and come out with another lethargic 1st quarter effort? The way Madison Central can control the time of possession, the host team can ill afford another slow start like last week. The key to the game is that Douglass must RUN THE BALL. Flat out. Pass when the opportunity presents itself, but minimize the passing turnovers that could flip momentum. I expect a hard fought 14-7 win, because I believe that the Broncos will still try to pass the ball, instead of keeping it on the ground. We shall see.
  11. I asked early on if this Barren County team was for real, and so many responses were no, their schedule was weak and they would be lucky to make it to the 2nd round. What a story these Trojans are. Then you have the Warhawks, winning their 1st playoff games ever in grand fashion. No one was looking at GC to make any noise this season, until they beat their crosstown (more like down the street) rivals. I know I wasn't. Shoot. Who to pull for? Possibly Barren, as GC was no match for Ryle earlier. However, it can be difficult to beat a team twice in one season! I'll have to come back to this one midweek for sure.
  12. Until the 2nd and 3rd tier Louisville teams begin scheduling county schools, rather than playing other 3rd tier non-district JCPS foes, they will not advance further than the 3rd round. The county schools out-scheme those city teams everytime. Now, BG will out athlete AND out-scheme Atherton, to the likely tune of 56-7.
  13. This was a late one? Or all passing plays?
  14. Not running that antiquated offense, they don't.
  15. Nobody said Ryle big. They could only win close. Welp. 6A, here we goooo!
  16. Textbook looking past your current opponent to the next round... SMH.
  17. GRC RECOVERS THEIR ONSIDE KICK. UH OH GUYSSSSSS! 1ST QTR.
