I am Happy for Riley, but honestly, a hall that now includes Andre Reed and Zach Thomas, but NOT Kenny Anderson is a joke. If I am Riley's family and the Bengals, I get together and send Anderson to introduce him and make his acceptance speech, just to let the hall know what an obvious absence he is.

Even if he plays just 1 down, he's the comeback player of the year. Right? I mean the man was clinically dead, twice, and still has the chance to play a down. The miracles of modern medicine.

I wonder how much insurance plays into this? I remember seeing many pep bands that included electric basses and guitars, keyboards and full drum kits. This didn't always fit in the stands where the horns were so they set up along the base lines and in the corners. Not many HS gyms are big enough to half all that extra stuff along the floor. All it takes in one injury for the schools insurance to increase. Then there are the potential law suits in this day and age.

The Bengals haven't had a ton of first round "busts", but the ones that were were spectacular. Namely, KiJana Cater, David Klingler and John Ross. Even the borderline busts (Dave Rimington, James Francis, Alfred Williams, Jack Thompson) were serviceable NFL players for Cincy and other teams. They aren't as bad at the draft as the media wants to make out.

Football wise I don't think this hurts the Bengals all that much. Certainly it's a PR nightmare. If he misses time from a league suspension or is found guilty and Cincy just cuts ties, Perine is a suitable option. Maybe he can carry the load full time, if not, he's certainly capable to doing so until they find a replacement that can. Whatever the outcome, let's hope Mixon get the help he needs to keep his impulses under control.

Cards move to 3-19 on the year. Jackets drop to 8-14. Good to see they haven't given up this year. They stave off 20 losses for at least one more game.

The Bengals did not play well and KC still had to win on a last second FG. I really hope Cincy re-ups Burrow and then hits free agency hard again. They still had Oline issues late in the season and need to sure up that and probably make some more moves on the back end of the Defense. The Bengals aren't going anywhere.
